  1. Had 9" of rain here last weekend, gonna have another blast of rain on Thurs. Dams are breaking, houses washing downriver, rivers flooded, houses are flooded, roads washed out. It is cool and sunny today, for a couple days anyways. Steve
  2. On my 86 VR, I had 10,000 miles on the venoms and appeared to be just over half worn. Steve

  5. but as a Libertarian --------- Are you kidding me? Someone else that believes in freedom and liberty? I'm, with ya all the way on this. Back in 1976 when we in Wisconsin were trying to get our helmet law repealed, which we did successfully, with big rallies, and educating our law makers. Whcih brings me to the point that Roger McBride, the libertarian candidtate for president addressed our rally. I couldn't believe that there was a party that believed in freedom as I do. If only people would know what liberty and freedom really is. I still have my "Let those who ride decide" sticker on my tool chest. Way to go NH. Education, geez, what a concept. Steve

  7. I'm not impressed. My opinion has always been the same when it comes to volume of people on a forum, More is NOT better. JMO, Steve
  8. Been following along on this. I was wondering how long before you got it back. Hope you find minimal damage. At least you don't have to deal with the ins. on this one. My brother in law once had a chevy II (that was his late aunts) stolen and a year later when he got it back, it was a pretty cool low rider:rotf: Glad you got it back, Steve

  12. Fixit, You will need two things to make this work: A contact with your local USF Holland dispatcher, and most importantly a business who has a contract with USF Holland. I was able to use my companys discount with them. Unloaded it right at our loading dock. If you can't get a company discount, don't even bother. It's waaay expensive. Good Luck, Steve
  13. Look at JC Whitney Steve
  14. Hey Dan, I thought the warden wanted you to get rid of all those 1st gens and get a 2nd gen so she could go for a ride?:stirthepot: Steve

  24. My new bike arrived in one piece today, with a great deal of thanks to 86er, Todd Magill. He did a lot of work to get me this bike, and I want to thank him. It even came with a little bit of Georgial clay:) As long as I'm talking about the great members here, I'd also like to thank NKBjones, Nathan Jones for sending me a lowering kit for my 05 RSTD. Steve
  25. Listen Eddie, If I ever hit a deer, and I live where they are thick, and can post a pic of my bike and I'm OK, I'll consider myself a very lucky guy. They are deadly, as you know and I'm very glad that you and your wife got by with injuries that will heal in time. Sorry that it happened, but like I said, glad your here to tell us about it! It is the single reason that I now do very little night riding around here. Steve
