Turn on the key then then push the CB button. The orange light should come on and the display should show the channel or squelch. If it doesn't ask why they disabled the CB. Then take them to one of their pc's and pull up the starmotorcycles.com and show them the CB is standard equipment. Also look under the trunk. That black box under it that the antenna's are plugged into is the CB unit.

Jack there's a couple of ways to fix that. Most are probably more than the average user is capable of. YES pulling the HD and slaving it will allow you to get all of the important pics and Docs you need off of it. You have a corrupted registry or a couple of system files. You won't be concerned with those since slaving the drive requires nothing off of it but to be able to read the format (NTFS). It would be faster to do that and then do a recovery from the "restore partition" or Dell Windows XP cd. Then reinstall your programs and copy your files back... OH yea, This will keep youbusy for a while. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;307545

Information on Carb Heaters
BuddyRich replied to V7Goose's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Well, Your main fuse is a 30a. So if your blowin the main fuse your overloading the wires. As stated, how much it draws depends on everything you have turned on. Up to and including the cruise control. -
If your goin 60mph you will travel approx 88 ft per second. Most states use a 10ft white line with 30ft in between. Some us 15/45. So by counting the stipes per second you travel you could get a rough estimate.

Saddle bag (adjustments)
BuddyRich replied to crockettrider's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I got a new bag that's like that. I think its the gasket is a little thicker for some reason. I just close it and then push down (both hands over where the catches are) slowly increasing push till I hear the latch click. Its been over a year and the thing is just startin to loosin up a bit- 10 replies

What do the base of your antennas look like ? Anything not protected is going to rust. Most of the electrical should be fine I would think but anything with the paint chipped off or bare metal exposed is going to be a problem.

Don't change if you don't want to. Next time it pops up check the box to never remind you again.

"Telephone poles look like a picket fence" and "The lines on the road just look like dots" . Your goin REAL FAST

Check the back of the engine and back side of the cylinders in the back for oil. I'd bet you have a leaky valve cover gasket.
-
Jeeze, Now we can't talk bad about'em anymore. Now let the chroming begin. Oh yea, We'll slow down and let you catch up.

They really are plug and play. Heres where I installed mine. Just used some velcro. There's only one plug in there that matches it so it would be hard to get it wrong.

I am at the end of my rope on the RSV not turning over

Yea, You'd be surprised how many people forgot to put the kill switch back to Run. Like Goose said, basics first, so we can help troubleshoot it.
