a photograph in uniform, or wearing a uniform in person. Like I'd fit in an old uniform now...Even if I could find it, and I don't look nothing like I did when I was 18 so the pic is out. I was much uglier then.

There's always your local county police looking to hire somebody... :rotf:

Glad you like them. The black does go good with the black bike. they sure made a difference for me when it got down to the 40's and 30's. I remember a couple of times of numb knees before I put them on.

2nd Gen Wiring Schematics 99-09 RSV
BuddyRich replied to dingy's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Gary, That's some good work there. By far the best I have seen bringing all the components together. THANKS! I'm sure Don will put it into the read only Tech section when he see's it. -
Glad to hear that. There's a long story that goes with that broken heel bone and the ending was not good. If there's one bone you don't want to break that's the one. Now, we need to get you an airbag for a jacket, pants, shoes, and hat.. Kinda like the michelin man... Course if you start bouncin that may prove to be a problem.

If you actually broke the calcaneus Dan you may be in for some more operations. My brother did that while he was down here in 08. Still wasn't right after pins and screws and 2 operations and a year later. Dang man, you better stay away from magnets if you get any more metal in you.... I guess airports are gonna have a hard time with you too..

Been using 7 for about 6 months. Much better than Vista. They have hidden some things you get use to in XP as far as admins are concerned. But the average user will find it much better than Vista which was a joke. I still refuse to install it on any machine I own or work on which is around 250 of them. There's no upgrade path from XP to 7 though so you'll wind up reinstalling all you apps. So for those thinking about an upgrade from XP think again. You'll need another drive,do a side by side install, or wipe your current drive clean.

What are you suppose to do with all the ramp hanging out the back. Does it fold or something ? A Ford would have made the video look a lot better...

How many has plugged your car/truck tire ?
BuddyRich replied to Hummingbird's topic in Watering Hole
I had to plug a couple of MC tire when they were relatively new. Wore them out after. Never had a problem. I am more concerned about plugging a car tire in the inch closest to the sidewall. I have thrown/swallowed a couple of those. That's a problem with all radials. -
Mine just started doing that. Last year it would give me a map and the county where the watch was. Must have something to do with the merger or one of the software updates on the Zumo.

I have the GXM30 on mine. You won't get any road conditions unless you around one of the 80 cities they talk about as markets. The weather you get in the basic is the current temp and 5 day forcast along with a map showing what is happening. You won't get the same live maps as you get off wunderground or weather.com though. You do get weather alerts that pop up on your screen though for thunderstorms, flash flooding, tornado's and such.

1983 first gen HID installation
BuddyRich replied to SaltyDog's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I have had an HID bi-xenon on my 05 for the last 4 years. Same bulb and transformer/starter/ 60k miles on it. An I can tell you there's a world of difference in light output. I would replace it every year if needed just to have that kind if light but it has not been needed it. I did buy the car kit just to have a spare. Still have the spare. I also made sure to buy the bi-xenon kit that the bulb actually changes position from hi/lo to get the right light pattern in hi/lo. These will not affect your electrical system. They use them on car/truck/buses/bikes and everything now with no side effects on the existing electrical system. Just ask a few of the people I have ridden with about how bright and clear my headlight is. -
Quick, Everybody run and hide..:rotf: Temp here are in the upper 70's low 80's so you may not need your coat this week.... Be careful and have and take your time.
