If you ground to the frame be sure to use a star washer and remove any paint before screwing it down. Then paint over it. If you ran the wire thru any parts of the metal frame be sure there's no sharp edges or corners from where they cut the frame. Don't depend on the hitch as a grounding point from vehicle to trailer. I've seen people do this then grease the ball real good. Duh! Ground your harness to the frame of the trailer also.

Shipped a batch today. If you have ordered lately you should be receiving yours in the next couple of days. Anyone wanting to order some they are in the classifieds. If you have any questions just post them on this thread. I usually watch for them here.

I had to turn on the ac last night for a few. It was one of those warm humid nights for some reason. Won't last maybe another couple of months but it's still nice here.

Just got a Samsung Epic 4g Touch. Which is Sprints version of the Galaxy II S. Its a really nice phone. Super fast due to the dual processors and a super pic. The GPS or WiFi or bluetooth loads in just a few seconds when I turn turn them on. We should be upgrading to Droid 4 here shortly when they release it.

Its like that all year round down here. Then there's the wild hogs too. I try to tell my wife to use her brights at night as much as possible. But she's one of those that think headlights are either on or off and there's no hi / lo...

Smart Phone instead of GPS???
BuddyRich replied to maineventurerider's topic in GPS, Audio, Electronics
You can purchase Co-Pilot. It installs maps on your phone so there's no need for cell coverage. Works fine when you don't have a cell signal since the maps are on your phone and its using the GPS sats. Google maps relies on your cell coverage to feed you the maps as your moving.- 19 replies

Yank the drive an put it in a usb container. Get the stuff off of it then put it all back together, tie a rock to it, and throw it in the deepest river you can find.

Bring up the task manager (Ctl,Alt,Del)and see if your pegging the scales in CPU usage (Performance Tab). If not click on the Resource Monitor Button towards the bottom of that page and then watch the Disk I/O. Also check the Event Viewer for any Disk I/O errors. Your's won't have six CPU's but it may have 2 or 4 depending on the model. If your pegging the scales in Disk performance you may have an HD or Controller going bad. Are the fans running to cool it ?

Lifespan of V4
BuddyRich replied to Shackbar's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Some will have a rear shock go bad. 500 a pop. Mine went bad but I was still in the 5 year warranty. If you buy new or reasonably new then your covered for that for a while. I really don't find the bike any heavier than any other bike weighing in at 900 lbs fueled up. Mine has been on its crashbars more than a couple of times and I'm pretty sure I'm not done dropping it.- 29 replies

200k is not unusual for these bikes. The engines are pretty much bullet proof. Most of them that are retired before then would be from accidents of lack of use. Abuse from lack of use is just as bad as regular abuse if you ask me.This site has most of the gotcha's on it somewhere.- 29 replies
