    Posted to this once. No clue where it ended up? But a lot of things have to do with mpg. A well tuned 1st Gen at 65 to 70 mph can get better than 50 mpg. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.....

    Will be the best 12 bucks you ever spent!!! I myself don't like the 404's You can find a set of Kendras for only few bucks more. Rear one is 6 ply tire.

    I found some at harbor freight that is Moly-Graph Grease. Extreme pressure long life. Base Type: Lithium 12 Hydroxy Stearate Sea-Lube is Brand name subsidiary of CRC Industries contains molybdenum and graphite to establish fine micron plating on all working surfaces withseand heavy load, water and shock. Anybody know enough to knowif this is as good as the Honda?? Lot cheaper. I'm going to try it and see how it stays in there.

    If I ever replace my stator it will be the high output one but not sure what output needs to be to keep things up. I'm Sure there are some electrical guys on here with plenty of info on this.

    Hey Mike. Why are the Chrome shops disappearing?? Seem hard to find anymore. I have a room full of 1st gen shiney things. Some good ones that need redone.

    Gary leave lid loose so air can get out. If you leave it tight this don't work very well.

    Avons best feeling tire i have rode on. But milage sucks. I had thread hanging out at 5,000 miles. My fault I know but I am going to try E3's next. If I can get my right wrist fixed???

    Have you tried pulling brake lever and tying it in place leave sit overnight with brake on? Sometimes this lets trapped air sneak out of there.

    2nd gen needs all the chrome it can get to help it...

    Castrol 20/50 Used it for years and never had a oil related problem. Just use a good oil and change as you should. Doesn't have to be motorcycle specfic oil. Should have No friction Modifiers. Bottom half of circle on back that contains info is Empty.

    I'll go 450!! Sounds like you got something to play with. If 2nd is just starting to act up you may get a few more miles out of it. My 2nd is just starting to go and it won't hardly get the front wheel off the ground in 2nd... Will it Dan??

    That would depend. Are you riding in the trailer??? 273 lbs....:rotfl: I would go about what has been suggested 30-35 lbs and keep something to measure tread with. If it is wearing faster in the middle drop it a little. Faster on edge raise it a little.

    I've thought of that a few times. Wonder if any of it took on him. Not trying to swipe thread Gamecock just some old memories. I'm going to have a WVU Blue&Gold 1st Gen one of these days.
