    I seem to be stuck in the Marriotts, but they have comfy beds. The Regencies have Sleep Number, but they're not my cup of tea.

    I've had a lot of bikes, not yet a VTX or Ultra, but the Venture is by far the best bike I've owned in my 40+ years of riding.

    I have a local bike shop do some work for me. Not a dealer, an independent, but I tell them what I want and some times I offer the knowledge I have or have gained from this site. They follow my instructions each time but before I drive off I check. I'd do most of it myself, but when you live in a motel it's pretty hard to do.

    Have the carbs synced. Mine were way off from the get go.

    Also, if you haven't already you may want to adjust the beam. Mine was shining in the tree tops, new off the floor. I also got the silverstar though.

    I didn't say anything about rain. I said weather. I just happened to ride through some very big cloud cover.

    Bike looks good without the trunk, but I can't believe that made the difference. What do I know, my C/T is on order, but not arrived so I have no darkside experience. We shall see.

    I shouldn't worry about it. You've just joined a really big club! Happens to us all. Not good when the co-pilot is on board though.

    No, the xtra riders did not slow me down. CrazyFrog is really crazy and we should change his name to "LikeABatOuttaHell", to say the least he likes speed. What surprised me though was Tony on the single lung BMW hanging with us the whole way. Mental Note to Self: Get some FroggToggs!

    In all fairness though. My ride last week to Knoxville I saw two bikes trailered, one was an M109 and the other I think a V2k. All the Harley's I met had the rubber on the road.
