  1. Hey, they are on sale and all 4 makes.
  2. Don't know about sales, but I ended up going with these guys and am glad I did. Fast delivery and good folks to deal with. They also post their inventory, so you don't have to guess if you can get one. http://tires-easy.com/
  3. And I had it for a while after that. Not to worry though, you got it back now.
  4. Looks like fun. I grew up in Florida and haven't even been to Busch Gardens, which everyone tells me, is the go to place. Went to Disney World once 30 years ago, but was already in the Army then. I do, when at home, take many trips to the Outpost (in Freeport), http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l224/teyster2/TedPics/outpost.jpg?t=1259500864 now that's the bike place to go, I think.
  5. Also, I think it would be fair and should be mandatory that any reviewer list his personal stable. It's obvious to me that most of these guys are not tourers as, it would seem, most of us on this site are. To me, what you do with your bike, is a big determining factor in what bike you own and are comfortable with.
  6. I think of all the testers this quote says it best: "The Venture didn't have much going for it. With carbs, shaft drive, and no power down low, I was surprised to find out that it was made by the fine folks at Yamaha... er Star, their bikes tend to be spot-on." I however, purchased the bike best suited for me and that was the Venture. Every one has their opinion, that's mine, and I'm sticking to it.

  8. Being new to the Darkside I wouldn't want to talk outta school, but I don't think any larger tire would fit. It's a tight go with the 165.
  9. Turkey, bread dressing, and cooked cranberries. Oh yea, pecan pie.
  10. At least yours is reasonable. Not like those fakers before you.
  11. I would have recognized you - the only blemish on an otherwise gorgeous scoot.
  12. Come on what about THIS
  13. Super idea. I'll have to do that one. Thanks. Or wear it as an ear ring.
  14. Let your mouse hover over the flag.
  15. SC side of Augusta I spotted a Black RSV riding with a Valkyrie. Is he/you one of ours. I gave him the thumbs up as I went by in Hyundai. Don't think I recognized him though.
  16. You could write your own shoot-out article and certainly would have a different out come. They're interesting reads, but I never decide on what I want to ride based on articles. While all the "big" tourers have there good and bad points, there is only one I'm interested in.
  17. Have you used them? This is kinda what I been lookin' for.
  18. Here's the new eBay @ 109.00 that's the bomb.
  19. Let's see 2011? I'll still have 120 payments on the one I have now:bang head:.
  20. I've recently had communique with Dave (BigBoyinMS) about some wobble I was experiencing at high speed after increasing my tire pressure. As you know I started with 33#, but was going for a good ride down Savannah way this weekend so the morning before, I went to the local gas station and upped it to 40#; I thought. When ever we got in passing mode or rode at 85(speedo) I was getting a good wobble on the back end. I did not like this and didn't remember that happening at 33#. So today I checked the tire with my known good gauge and it was 45#. Crap, I lowered it to 35# and headed out on the interstate. 80, 85, 90, and so on. No wobble. I think 45# is just way to much:think:. My theory is that it rounds out the tire and puts to much pressure on the sidewalls, so that any variances in the road or wind conditions can cause you to get a hefty wobble at high speeds. Any who, I've decided to stay with 35# for now. Your thoughts or similar experiences would be appreciated.
  21. I might tow it behind my RSV, just to impress the young ladies.
  22. Green on Green
  23. I may be confused.
  24. Yeah, that sounds right to me too!
