  1. Just remember to check for a slight amount of free play between the handle and the master cylander push rod if you don't want any problems...
  2. That's how many miles mine had when I bought it 2 years ago... NICE!!! Great price too!!
  3. Thanks! Supposedly that is what's wrong with the 85, and I can test it on the 84...
  4. Is there any difference with the TCI for a 1200 and a 1300?? I just pickied up the guts from a 1300 TCI on ebay for $14 including shipping. It's biled as an '86 up but will it work on an '85??
  5. Owned by a little old lady who only rode it to church on Sundays! That guy would make an excellent used car salesman with all the spin he put on that description! Wow, a Kraco stereo!!!!!!
  6. I find this somewhat surprising to hear. Although I have never purchased from them myself (unless I did on ebay and didn't know it) bikebandit seems to be held in high regard by several members here. Hopefully, you can resolve this situation to your satisfaction...
  7. Wow! $118!! That's a new record I think! I've always had great experience with Sean, he's OK in my book...
  8. Just have to put in my $.02 and say the early 1st gen brakes DO leave a bit to be desired. Yamaha recognized the problem and upgraded in '86 but yes, it gets pricey even with used parts, but it's the route I've chosen to take next year...
  9. Left Fairing, please!! Bill W I have a lot of the chrome you are loking for. I will send you a PM later...
  10. Just prayed for your complete and speedy recovery, and will continue to do so. Thanks for your testimony to proper riding gear as well. I have Joe Rocket too!
  11. I am interested, but thought they would have been long gone, too, Tom!!
  12. Awww, that's easy! You are taking the picture! Mike, that looks like one of the Keys, particularly Key West...
  13. Yup, I'm a lucky man, too!! Wife loves to ride! We'll be there fer sure...
  14. Hmmmmm, I have a $5.99 one that I've had in the garage for around 10 years now that still works fine. Of course, drop it once and it would probably be junk, but for checking for presence of voltage, or for continuity it works fine. Then again it only gets used once or twice a year. I also have a better one I use for troubleshooting PC boards..
  15. Yup! Quick, aren't they?!!?
  16. Man, I'll say! Seems to me I've seen them go for close to $100 before. Cmbel, I have one, I think, if you are interested. Just PM me your addy...
  17. The 1300's aren't as quick as the 1200's. Check the specs...
  18. Yup, I fell for it too!!
  19. Exactly!! Unless you are exceptionally clumsy or plan on giving it a lot of daily use, don't waste your money on something expensive, The expensive ones don't do anything more, nor are they particularly more accurate. Find something in the $5 - $20 range at Harbor Freight, Sears, Home Depot, Wally World, etc...

  23. Might be interesting...
  24. Shame I have to work Saturday, it would almost be worth the ride down!!
