  1. It will fit on a 6X10, just! At least mine fits on my open carryall with just about an inch or so to spare with the front tire against the front rail. Nothing wrong with buying a 12 footer but the 10 footer may be less expensive and sligtly less weight...
  2. Why, yes, many years ago I was in England on November 5th and was introduced to the "celebration." Just another reason to try some of the many authentic English pub beers...
  3. If you come to the Buffalo area there's always Bongo & Becky's B&B, and swell dining companions from the area. Yes, Big Tom will insist on ice cream... You can always bring that part taking up room in your garage and drop it off! PS the forcast is sunny and near 60 for next week!
  4. 4th of July BBQ at Bongo's, but it is pretty much locals. All are welcome, though...
  5. Hmmmm, I like those!! They are supposed to fit into the stock driving lights??
  6. Well, it IS a Yammi but it's only a 250cc... Kinda cool though!
  7. Hmmm, lemme see, 113K Km =around 80K miles give or take. I'd say that is just barely broken in for these bikes!! It's nothing to break the 100K miles barrier and they have been known to go over 200K miles and then some. Yup, I think you have a ways to go yet! As mentioned, just do the routine maintenance, oil changes the most important but don't forget about the other fluids as well. Periodic spark plug changes, and give it lots of distance daily to your scoot and I think you will fare well!
  8. We smacked a deer last year on the way home from MD with the then new '09 and did 6K of damage on a bike we had for exactly 3 days/500 miles. Also, on the way down to Asheville a few years ago we were rounding a curve on the Blue Ridge Parkway when a black bear comes strolling down the parkway, right in front of member Mother. Thought for sure he was gonna hit it, he was close enough to pet it while going by, and thought I was going to have to crash full speed into it to either kill it or drive it off...
  9. Your problem can also be your float in the fuel tank along with the sensor, or rheostat that the float operates. It's located on the top of the tank, and should be removed and checked. The rheostat winding is under the metal cover once you fwt the unit off of the tank. They sometimes get dirty, and also sometimes warp as well. There is a little amount of adjusting you can do for the tension that the slider, operated by the float, has.
  10. You may also be getting duped by your cable company! Before you do anything rash, just hook your cable directly into the antenna input of your TV and see what happens, Just have your TV do a channel search after you hok the cable directly into the TV, no box between. You may be amazed...
  11. His answer to the question of the day is unfortunately very painfully true...
  12. Well, I'M enjoying a nice cup of mulled cider and you're not!!!
  13. I won't tell either! We went out for dinner...
  14. That nasty 4 letter word appeared in the forcast for the week...:crying: :snow2::snow2: :snow:
  15. Maybe it's a Brittish version for driving on the other side of the road...
  16. When inviting friends over for dinner, and if you cleaned your oven that afternoon, Miz Manners suggests having an ample supply of wine available prior to dinner, AND make sure the oven still works after cleaning it... We won't mention whose house we went to diner at!
  17. I have the reserve lighting unit for him, free, and he is close by so that's covered...
  18. It could have just been debadged. The standard is pretty much a royale without the added electronics and CLASS. I'm not sure but the standard may not have had the selectable dampening on the rear shock, it's a knob on the side near the rear tire eith a chrome faceplate with the numbers 1 - 4 in a circle and a black knob for selecting...
  19. I sometimes use irfanview myself and it does convert pretty much everything to everytrhing. It's free, and it's unbelievably fast and efficient!!
  20. What some people won't do for money. **SIGH** Better read 1Timothy Chapter 6 with emphasis on verse 6...
  21. Yes, it may make a nice collector piece. Try a small corner before washing the entire flag. You may want to consider dry cleaning it instead. Also, the VFW will also properly dispose of it...
  22. Yup, that's the trick, be fast!! The bleeder is at the high point of the slave cylinder so no air should get in there, or very very little. You just have to fight good old gravity...

    screen name

Back in the early 70's I was a roadie for a local musician and I had a habit of keeping the beat on the table the later the evening became. Sooo, one night he introduced me as "Bongo Bob" and the name stuck. Well, come to find out, there is more than one Bongo Bob, one in particular being a successful producer and songwriter. So, to avoid confusion, I live in New York so consequently the bongobobny came about when I crossed the great digital divide and made my Yahoo account...:680::banana:
  24. Ugh!! Perish the thought!! Hopefully we will ride another weekend or 2 before I hang it up for the winter...
