  1. By the looks of that sky I expect to see "Stormchasers" come wizzing by any second...
  2. I was wondering why "Chat" seemed dead lately...
  3. Yup! Mine did the same thing! Reseating the controller connector and dielectric grease fixed it!!
  4. I have no complaints about their service and they even returned my money once when I was totally dissatisfiew with the condition of the item. My only issue with them is I personally think their prices are a little bit high...
  5. It's a lifetime ongoing process...
  6. Mine's on my keychain. Haven't had any real problems with it but it would be nice to have it stationary...
  7. I use the Diamond R but was not happy with their mounting position, so I McGuiver'ed my own mounting, and the wife is very happy. The thing I don't like about them is the fact that they pivot outwards, and I'm constantly tightening them up so they stay put while riding around corners...
  8. Hmmm, the Comfort Inn we stayed at was a lot cheaper, very nice, and definately Biker friendly!! A no brainer for us...
  9. Along with what Goose said. plan on flushing the brake system and hope you don't have too much crystalization in the master and slave systems. Same deal for the clutch system. Absolute must is to replace both tires unless both are less than 6 years old. A complete cooling system flush is also important. Low mileage bikes have their own set of problems. Although they don't have the wear of a higher mileage bike, as Goose pointed out, acids have been at work internally especially if the oil wasn't changed regularly and it wasn't run for an extended (months to years) period of time. We are not trying to scare you away from the bike, just warn you of possible issues you may encounter. Be prepared for a lot of PM needed on the bike...
  10. Sorry, Tom, hardly a flake all day...
  11. I dunno, is that the Muffinman and Mini on the 2nd one???
  12. Hopefully the guy now realizes that your garage is NOT a drive-thru beer store now! Interesting concept on how to park in a garage! Glad there was only property damage!!
  13. Too wet here to use the snowblower, so I did the whole driveway twice by hand, and it was heavy!! Sounds like you got more than we did, and we are suposedly in ski country...
  14. Yum!!! I can just hear the old arteries clogging up with that one!!
  15. To answer your question about trikes, I don't remember there being one of them in the pile of extra parts I was given, so yes they do use the swing arm!! They just don't use the stock shock but instead use a pair of coil over shocks on the rear axle frame. The only thing the swing arm does now is allow the driveshaft to move up and down...
  16. Hey Charlie, is a bird in the hand worth two in the bush???
  17. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Lonna!!!

  19. Hey!! That's MY credit card number...
  20. And I thought I was the only one with a perfect wife! Congratulations to you both!!!
  21. Nope! You can even get a DWI for riding a lawn mower while intoxicated!! Seems to happen more than once! Last summer they arrested a guy for that in NY. He was riding his lawn mower because they took his driver's licence away...
  22. That's one sweet looking ride he has there, Don!! Sounds like you had a Thanksgiving to be really thankful for!!!
  23. Jim and I are gonna drink beer while our wives spend all our money!! Christmas shopping trip to Ellicottville...
  24. Nah! 40 degrees is our limit, but we have ridden at 36 degrees. I'm working on adding heat to the seats, and Becky wants a heated jacket liner for Christmas though...
