    Yah! The usual problem is dirty switch contacts, or possibly a broken switchplate...

    Yah! They are also sometimes referred to as a Float Charger and can be had for $10 - $20. When plugged in, they monitor the output voltage of the battery and if it dips below a certain level they cycle on and bring the voltage up to the proper level then turn off. I have a nice Sears charger that allows you to select the charge rate and type of battery and does shut off when it reaches a full charge, but I found out the hard way it is too over high tech for my Deka battery. If the Deka gets waaay too low, the charger eventually gives up and says the battery is no good when it is fine. Put an old fashioned simple charger on it and it eventually charges it up...

    Yes there are. I have one from Quebec, RPM or RMS, can't remember which, or check out Rick at Buckeye performance. Rick is a member here and offers a discount to members. look in the vendors area foer his number. The higfher output stators are a little bit more pricey. Try doing a search on Fleabay

    Thin walled socket and a u-joint should help! The stock spark plug wrench in your tool kit, if you still have it, should work out. Try using some PB Blaster on the clips to loosen them up some...

    If you think the '86 is fast, ride an earlier MK1 with the 1200cc! Top speed in 3rd gear is supposed to be 93 if I recall right. You can really wind out these 4 cylinders out, and they like higher RPM's. You should be able to hit 80 in 3rd if it's running right...

    Yes, as a matter of fact it was a Lincoln MK3 customized by George Barris himself, creator of the original Batmobile and the Munster's hot rod to name a few. The car is now in someone's private collection...
