Yah! Not to be confused with Hank Williams both Sr. and Jr. Jr. is the Service Manager at Pioneer Motorsports and also just happens to be a cousin...

Yes, word of warning here, low speed parking lot maneuvers tend to be a little difficult on these bohemoths! Never stop with the wheel turned, and never try to start without the front wheel pointing straight ahead. If it does decide to take a rest, gently let it take a nap, the crash bars WILL do their things. There are lowering kits that do help handling ever so slightly by lowering their center of gravity, but big and heavy is big and heavy...

Yah! I just put a glob on the connector then just seat and reseat it a few times to get the grease in the connector as well to stop corrosion. The pins are made to make contact anyway, the metal just penetrates the grease to make contact. You can use too much though...

Gen 1 carb removal
bongobobny replied to Yamamike's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
If you are planning on disassembling and rebuilding the carbs, there is a very good video on this that appears on fleabay for auction. I'm bringing a copy op to Carl's Tuesday along with a video for rebuilding the engine. It is geared for the Vmax but other than the part number being a little different for the jets, the disassembly and reassembly is identical...- 17 replies

Myself I use the 2 part plastic epoxy as filler for smaller areas, and scrap ABS plastic for larger areas. You can also use "Plastex" but it's a little more expensive than the 2 part epoxy...

Yah! Divorces are no picnic! both of us have been married twice before so we know the drill. We must be doing something right because we just celebrated our 22nd anniversary last month! She sounds really flighty and a bit of a flake! She is probably playing the irresponsible role just to get out of paying money. In reality all she is doing is cutting off her nose to spite her face and ruining her life in the long run, not to mention the life the children. No wonder why God despises divorce...

in the 40's is as low as we go. I've ridden in the 30's and brother it is COOOOOOOLD!!!

Don't feel bad Brad, on a 2 up towing a trailer high speed i.e. 80mph trek with the trike we get as low as 20mpg! Just tooling around the country we get around 30+...

I will mention one more touring bike to consider, but it is going to stir up a hornet.s nest! You may want to check out the Victory Vision. Yes, it is a tad futuristic looking, a George Jetson scoot if ever there was one, but the more you learn about them, the more desirable they come for comfort, convenience, and roadability. They are a tad pricy, but not quite as bad as a Beemer...

Hmmmm, a lot of us listen to satellite, fox news is on that...

Ummm, pretty much just take the front tire off, slip the rotor covers on and reinsert the tire and axle. The calipers have to come off as well, they can just dangle carefully so as to not tear the brake lines. Then come up with a quick connect for the wires and you should be ready to go...

Yah! Hardest part is splitting your fairing! Also, make sure you use some dielectric grease on the connector unless you want to do it a second time...

Yah! When I bought my '09 I also looked at the Wing. Found the Wing riding position uncomfortable, and the one I tried had all sorts of creaky plastic sounds. The RSV was around $2000 cheaper, and a MUCH better warranty, 5 years unlimited miles. The only downside was after several years with my 1st gen and fixed fairin including fixed mirrors on that fixed fairing, I do not like handlebar mounted mirrors, something I never noticed before having fixed fairing mirrors. There are a few members that haul a camper trailer so you need to talk to then about that. I haul a cargo trailer which sometimes when fully loaded goes around 400 lbs, and other than decreased MPG's I have to look back to make sure it's still there!! As was mentioned, you want to keep these heavy beasts RPM's up to get the full benefit of their power. Forget about 5th at anything below 55 to 60 mph unless you are on flat terrain, going up hills in 5th you lose power...

Hmmmmm, can I have some of what you were smoking?!!?

Yah! What Carl says! Unfortunately, with flourescent lights, it's the high voltage travelling across the tube that generates the RF interferience. You could try making sure the fixtures have a good ground. I never listen to AM so I'm not much help there. The reason I have Rotel is back in the early 90's I was the lead technician for the national distribution and repair center fior Rotel Stereo and B&W loudspeakers...

Prayers
bongobobny replied to peterbooth's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
With deepest sympathy!! Of course we will be glad to pray for you!!! -
Pictures!! We want pictures!!!

Try putting a good ground on the chassis. What are you using for an AM antenna?? I have some nice vintage early 90's Rotel equipment I might think of parting with if you want some serious Audiophile quality equipment..

Lots of us do long hauls 2 up, the RSV is one of the most comfortable ones going! Some of us even tow a trailer on long trips with no problems. Welcome aboard!!!!
