  1. There is also powdercoating that ends up looking like polished aluminum and when clearcoated comes close to a chrome shine...
  2. *Sigh* Where to start, Goldie, sorting and labeling, dispersing 1st gen parts, the workbench...
  3. Officially spoken for...
  4. Carl, you saw the garage last weekend. One more thing in there and it'll likely explode!!! Heck, I'm even giving Condor some competition...
  5. I just finished installing my new Lynksys E3200 and now have no use for my old Netgear Range Max WPN824 v2. It works fine but I got tired of rebooting the router now and then. It worked for a couple of years fine but this summer started needing periodic reboots, every couple of months give or take. Rather than letting it clutter up my garage even more, I'm offering it to anybody that wants it...
  6. I think Aussie Annie's trike falls in that category...
  7. Careful, you may actually start to enjoy staying home! I know I can't wait to retire and actually have time to myself...
  8. Sometimes the voices are our friend...
  9. Hey Brad, glad things worked out satisfactory for you!!
  10. Yah! I saw those lights on Fleabay but didn't need them! Lucky for you as we would have had another bidding war...
  11. Hmmmm, rev it up and pop the clutch and the rear tire will do more than chirp, the front tire will come off the ground as well!! Oh, you were talking about the CLUTCH chirping...
  12. *Sigh* I miss chrome fenders!! That bike looks pristine! As mentioned, the only downside is it's not a touring bike and not designed to ride all day on. I almo0st bought one of the later "California" editions which were black 1100's with gold trim on the chrome. Ended up buying a '83 Honda CX 650 in pristine shape instead, and wonder if I would have been happier with the XS1100 instead for $500 more than I paid for the Honda...
  13. Whole bunch of neat videos there!! Wish we could vacuum our cat...
  14. Unfortunately he crossed into the other lane, so he has no one to blame but himself...
  15. Gee, as a matter of fact, it IS around the same time as the Eden Corn Festival...
  16. Yah! Had a friend from this site send me that video a couple of days ago and I have to admit, even at my age, I learned something new!!!
  17. Yah! shipping across the border is a pain in the butt, even with USPS!! I let my Canadian friends ship stuff to here then they come over and pick it up. I have also in the past shipped a few things by taking it across the border and mailing it in Canada...
  18. Passport renewals are in the mail. Time will tell...
  19. Gee, and I'm the exact opposite! With XP, IE worked fine, but with my new Windows 7 and the latest IE it crashes constantly...
  20. OWWWWW!!! Yah! Brakes and manhole covers don't mix very well, do they?!!? Hope you heal fast! The bike can be repaired or replaced. You will probably have to repair or replace your front fairing frame. Maybe you can work out a deal with PB&J as he will be parting out his '85 Brownie soon...
  21. Thanks Jay, I will!! I have the latest and not so greatest IE and it constantly stops working, with disasterous results sometimes. Ended up buying an item twice on Fleabay because of it...
  22. Oh dear, I hope it wasn't something I said! Sometimes my humor, twisted as it is, gets taken the wrong way or too seriously...
  23. Yah! Very common issue with the 1st gen's. As mentioned previously repack/replace bearings and adjust nut tension, add a super brace, install progressive springs, and check/replace front tire to fix the issue. It usually occurs around 30 to 50 MPH but as long as you hold the handlebars it doesn't have a chance to start...
  24. I once got a little too close to a guard rail towing a trailer and making a right turn and started to go down. The wife kicked the guard rail and popped us back up...
