Back home from the fun! I REALLY needed this ride, took off out of here at 8:30 and pulled into the yard at 4:00, I dont know exactly how many miles, but it's 70 each way to Doodles and I know we did every bit of atleast 70 miles on the ride Can you have too much fun at these things....yep, and I did As always it's great spending time with all our Houston crew, 6 bikes, 6 bikers and 1 biker babe Owen, Doodle, myself, Jerry Van Avery, Perry, Kelly and Beki went all over the place, half the time I didn't even know where the hell we were besides Texas! Great weather, but got HOT on the ride back here to Cleveland 95 degrees outside is what my thermometer said....and I feel it! The lunch was ok, I wasn't crazy about the place, and perhaps it's just me, but my guts aren't liking me right now Our waitress was a sweet gal, her 1st day working there, and she was quite talkative. We didn't scar her too badly, we had to behave as Beki was with us and would have opened that can of whoop ass if we busted on the young gal too much Here's some pics, and the others will add to the collection. Thanks again for the impromptu ride....I had a blast!!!

Like others have mentioned, it's all up to how comfortable you feel with it behind the bike. I have had trailers up to 80 mph, I dont really want to go any faster than that, 70 mph, for me is a good cruising speed on the slab. Obviously keep in consideration following distances and weather....

I'll see y'all at the shell station around 9:30

Not that I need an excuse for a road trip but I may have to take you up on that. Just need to get life down to a bit calmer level. It's a lot easier to get there since I've taken 1500 miles off my trip moving down here Thank you for the offer and I will at some point take y'all up on it

Relic's Mother
Squidley replied to BradT's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
So sorry to hear of this, John & Dianne are 2 of the nicest people we know. It always hurts when family is lost, but know that we are thinking of all of you, you too Tuckett, on the loss of your mothers. All the best to you and may your grieving be short as you think about the life you had with your mothers.... -
Not for those of us that REALLY know you!

Bernie, I wouldn't look any smaller than a 750cc for the youngest, he will out grow a 650 VERY fast and there's no use having to look for another bike so soon. The Suzuki Volusia is an 800cc bike that is very nice, the 750 Shadows are nice bikes too and very light and maneuverable. A cruiser sounds like it would be a good choice due to his size, as it would be lower to the ground. Enjoy having your boys with you on the rides, I am patiently awaiting the day I get to ride with my Dad

bike dies, dead battery

Check all the connections, especially where the ground is attached to the frame. These bikes are very finicky with the electrical systems if they are dirty. -
Harbor Freight tag along trailer question
Squidley replied to midnightrider1300's topic in Trailer Talk
Best bet is to pull your bearing cap off and take it with you to measure and match it. This way you'll absolutely know it's right. -
