Perhaps they will re train you as a motorcycle mechanic. Get a good lift and apply for a grant to hire students to train and you are good to go.

Welcome aboard!

I think I would rather go for Lake Tahoe. The traffic down the coast can be brutal in the summer.

0640 and about to leave for the Legion to help set up the ceremony and parade. We always have a good turnout in spite of the weather. Thanks to all the Veterans.

Welcome aboard from your northern neighbors out here on the wet coast. -
There is a show called " Marketplace". They did a real world test using cars to see if there was any difference. Unless you have a Ferrari there is no point in using premium. There is no difference in performance, mileage, or emissions. In fact they found putting premium in a car designed for regular decreased mileage and performance and increased emissions.

Where is Susanville?

On a previous trip to Vegas we did a tour of the Grand Canyon, Brice, Zion and went river rafting over by Paige. Great time and all fantastic places to visit. We are not making a schedule for the trip, just going and stopping when we run out of day. Janet is taking her golf clubs, another reason for the truck.

Thanks guys. Our plan is to follow the Old Oregon trail ( I 84) then onto I 15 and S 20, S 84 S 89 and S 89A. Leaving Saltspring Nov 20 and overnight with relatives in Abbotsford then head out through Sumas on the 21th. We check in at Sedona on the 24 which should give us lots of time. Jerome is on our to do list as is the Verde Canyon train ride. Taking the truck due to the possibility of snow and with Janets bad back she can't ride all that far. If it were earlier I would suggest she fly down and I meet her there with the bike.

About the middle of November Janet and I are planning on a trip from Sumas Washington to Sedona AZ. We plan on going via Yakima, Boise, Salt Lake City, Flagstaff and spending a couple weeks in Sedona. Haven't decided on a return route yet. If anyone has any advice as to roads or things to see let me know. We will be taking my 4x4 with Michelin snow tires on it.

I have always used Michelin tires. You will get much longer life and better traction in all weather. How much is the extra traction and safety worth to you?

The prediction here is for a "Stoneado" apparently a tornado that drops rocks all over the place. Actually it is a new movie they are filming in Victoria.

I remember all of these and still have some of them. Got Bill Haley and the Comets Rock around the Clock. I was at a dance when the band started playing some of these oldies. I asked a co worker to dance and to my surprise she knew all of them and could dance to them ( I am 68= she is 34). She explained that they used to dance to them in their gym class.

Seafoam in everything every fall. No problems starting up in the spring. I used to use stabil but it would cause rough running and smoke every spring until I had run at least one tank through.

Might pick up a couple of boxes for traction in case it snows this winter.

I don't know but it seems that just having double the bikes out there is going to increase the accidents and increase them even more if a lot of them are new riders.

Like they say rick " It aint the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog":no-no-no: No, I am not giving you the finger.

I have run Avons for many years with no problems. Now on my 2nd set with my Venture at 51,000 k and still going strong. No cracks.

Toronto only thinks it is the center of the universe. When I worked for Air Canada in Vancouver we were constantly getting goods from London England destined for Toronto.. I finally phoned London and had a hard time convincing them that Toronto is actually closer to London than it is to Vancouver.

Just got back from the meeting with the powers that be. The whiners were informed that the club is perfectly legal and they could not shut it down (Yea!) but they were also informed that they could apply to have the hours of use severely restricted but not so restricted as to preclude normal use. The meetings on hours of use will continue.
