for our 10 day vacation into West Virginia. We are leaving Clarksville Tennessee and I think we will go north them accross to Charleston (I think). Any suggestions would be helpful. Wonder why the wife and I chose West Virginia---Why Not. Thanks:2132:

ToRide1 I see you have alot of good information about traveling West Virginia. My wife and I are planning our yearly ride and want to do a loop in WV. We always do our vacation in October (wife does not like hot weather). I have ridden all over the southern part of WV since I grew up on eastern Kentucky. Do you have any suggestions about organizing my trip? We will be leaving central Tennessee and have about 8-10 days to ride. We try to limit our daily travel to around 300-350 miles in a day. Any help from anyone would be appreciated.

OK, I am not the sharpest tack in the box so someone out there should be able to help me with this. I have the 550 and I know that you can store music on this thing to listen to--I have a 2 gig SD card and can not figure out how to keep my CD's together when I put the songs on the card. I have a 3 disk series of George Jones and want to keep each disk's songs together but when I load the disks on the SD card all the songs load by the song number. All the 01 songs are together then the 02--03 etc. How do I load the disks and keep them as they are on the CD? Is this confusing enough???

RiderDuke, the one from motorcycle close out is the one that I use. I have had it for 3 years and is just about time to replace it. It works great under my Joe Rocket summer jacket.

I really stupid now, after complaining to Garmin--the problem is all fixed. Coming in to work this morning I only had to use the volume on the bike at around 18 to hear everything really clear in the speakers and the headsets. THANKS CURT!!!!! Now I have to explain to Garmin that I don't need an exchange after all.

Curt---:banana:I did just what you said and found that the master volume was set at just above half way. I put it to the max and will test it out tomorrow on my way to work. This is why I love this site. The answer to most all of our questions can be answered right here. My fall back plan is that Garmin told me that they would replace the unit. I will let you know how it sounds tomorrow.

OK, I love my Zumo 550 but I just can not hear it. What am I doing wrong. I have it attached inside the faring just like the article explained. I have the volume on the Zumo set at 100% and I have the AUX volume set at 30 and I can bearly hear it at 50 MPH. As you all know I do not have loud pipes. It is no better wheather I use the Head phones or speakers. Do I have a bad unit or did my wife buy a $600 gift :mo money:that-- in my opinion--sucks--

I have an extra bed open at the Oberlin Inn. TrailMaster had a change of plans and if anyone want to share a room just let me know. I will be arriving on Friday and checking out Sunday morning.

Of all the members on this site, not one has any knowledge of the Nitro Touring boot. I am sure I won't get them now.

:2132:Does anyone have any experience with these? They fit me really good, and they claim to be water proof. I am ready to replace my Tourmaster WPS boots and not sure these will be as good.

That is the one that I have. I mounted a rubbermaid box to it for extra storage. I rewired it to match the bike. I put break lights on each side. I used a receiver hitch. Al built it to match my measurements. Here are a couple of picture of the rake on the bike.

This has been on ebay in the past. Thought about getting them but it looks like too much work to get them any kind of shape to put on the bike. -
If your bike is still under warranty then Yamaha will do the trip plan for you. I have used it several times. Just call the road side assistant number and tell them where you want to go.

OK, now for a dumb question--Do I need to buy a new battery every 3 years? I have an '06 with 24K on her and I have no problems at all battery wise. Would it be smart to replace the battery this year before I get out on a trip and it craps out on me?? -
I spend alot of my free time in my woodworking shop. There I can take out my frustrations on a piece of wood. I am trying to teach my grandsons how to use hand tools, God knows that in a few years kids will only know how to play video games.

I smoked for 32 years and in February of 1998 my 2 year old granddaughter was sitting on my lap and said "Papaw, you stink". I told her that I would take care of that and I had her circle a date on the calendar for Papaw to start smelling better. She circle April 1, 1998. On that date I threw away my Winstons and have not had one since. I think it is a mind over matter thing. I did not have any withdrawal symtoms execpt that I ate alot of mints and still do.
