  1. Steve, Maybe I have not been looking -- but I have not seen you on line lately. I am going to Mainteance day again this year. If you want, we can ride up together.
  2. Terry :2132:I have the TourMaster Venture overpants. Here is a link http://www.ridegear.com/rg/item/F-41093/Tour-Master/Venture-Pants.html?mv_pc=GBProducts This is not the place that I ordered from. Can't remember where I got them but I have had them for over a year and love them in not so hot weather. They are completely waterproof in the rain and I have been caught is a downpour. These and the TourMaster Jet Jacket are my choice for riding from 18 to 75 degrees.
  3. Thanks Terry, I will order a pair today. I have the Tourmaster Venture pants and they are great in cold weather with the liner. Without the liner they do good up to about 75-80 degrees or so before they become uncomfortable. I ordered the Joe Rocket Phoenix 4.0 mesh from NewEnough a couple of weeks ago for $89. The local dealer wanted $139. Trying to get ready for real riding season.
  4. Hey Blackjack---Have you tried these in Hot Weather yet? It gets fairly WARM and muggy in Tennessee in the summer.
  5. Now that I have my Joe Rocket Phoenix 4.0 jacket, I need to get a pair of hot weather pants. Any body have any suggestions? By the way--Why do they call them a "PAIR" of pants and you only get one???
  6. Steve, it is amazing that our pictures are almost the same. I took this picture when I was traveling from Italy to Swizterland in 1975. This road was closed for traffic but it would be fun to try it once.
  7. While looking through some old pictures when I was stationed oversea and while on a trip to Italy, I found this picture of REAL curvey road.
  8. $23.36. http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/detail.cfm?model_ID=42&Category_ID=14&manufacturer_ID=39&product_ID=5363 This where I got mine. Only took about 15 minutes to put on.
  9. Remember--the 2006 tank badges come in two shades. The black cherry bike has a chrome tank badge and the Midnight has a subdued badge.
  10. :2cents:I wear the Tour Master WP Solutions. They are water proof but let your feet breath. I wear mine all day at work when I ride (which is most of the time) and they are very comfortable.
  11. I just had a hearing test and they ordered me hearing aids and the doctor told me not to wear them when I ride or sleep. I will be getting the automatic set, no volume controls just put them on and go.
  12. Does this mean that we may be able to order other VR items, like the tribal hats?

Too bad it is clear across the country.
  14. Hey Bill, I agree that Yamaha did a good job bringing in the Star line, BUT try to buy some of the Yamaha apparel from the 2008 catalog. Over half of the items are discontinued. I can not figure that out.
  15. I use my all the time and always have. It seems odd to me to shift the old way.
  16. I lost the passenger PTT last summer and the dealer could not find the part number for just the button so they replace the whole unit. Thank God it was under warranty---$600 for a button.
  17. I have the neck scarf with the crystals. When it is dry it is as flat as paper but when you let it soak, it swells up and is very soft. Lasts for several hours and I also keep them in a ziplock bag until they are needed.
  18. That is truly amazing!!
  19. Just got the email stating my order has been shipped...That is fast since I did not order it until yesterday afternoon. On the cooling vest, the one that I have does last about 4-5 hours in 80 degree weather, only about 1 1/2 hours in the 90's. But is about the time I have to refuel any way. Just go into the rest room and let the vest soak and you are good to go. Also, I wear this vest over a T shirt and the T shirt doesn't really get wet just barely damp.
  20. Hey KitCarson, Here is the vest that I wear under my jacket. It works really well most of the time and will probably do better under a mesh jacket. http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/detail.cfm?model_ID=42&Category_ID=8&manufacturer_ID=468&product_ID=22958
  21. Well just ordered the Joe Rocket 4.0 from New Enough for $89. What a deal.
  22. KitCarson, I knew it was a joke, no harm in joking around. But seriously, I will either get the white or the silver Joe Rocket. And I agree about dehydration, I usually carry a small cooler in the passenger seat when I ride alone and carry lots of water. If my wife rides with me, I don't need a cooler because she is always wanting to stop to see if something is on sale. Last year on our 8 day trip she was mad because she did not have any place to carry things for the grand kids. This year I will use that excuse to buy a Piggy Backer for the trip. Another thing, wonder if a cool vest would work well under the mesh jacktet. I used one last year under my TourMaster Jett Jacket and it did OK until it got in the high 80's then the jacket had to go. It was just to hot to wear.
  23. Thanks Tom .. but that is a little pricey for me. If I spend that much on a jacket I will not have anything left for hotels for the Natchez ride. Now KitCarson why would I buy a YELLOW jacket riding a Black bike? It looks like I may order the Joe Rocket in the Silver.
  24. Hey Steve, I have searched the J&M site and can not find the windshield bag that you have listed. Could you please provide a link.
  25. OK, so far I have one good vote for the Tourmaster and one vote for the Joe Rocket. I know that when I order it will be from NewEnough because of the support.
