Hey bongobobny, I talked to the lady at Piggy Backer yesterday and she told me that the price for the XL (12" wheels) will go up $100 on March 1. She has 10 in stock right now. I was going to buy one but decided to try and make one with the HF trailer first.

With the world the way it is today I would feel naked without my gun. The only time that I do not carry is to work. Since I work on Fort Campbell, it is a federal offense to carry on the post.

I put those on the VStar that I had but have put off doing it to the Venture. How hard was it to get the wire through the rubber grommet on the fender? Also, where did you get the brake light bulb that rotates?

CowPuc, I appreciate your informative reply. My wife suffers from singles and she had a stimulator put in about 2 years ago and she loves it. She carries her "remote control" with her and can increase or decrease the electrical impulses at any time. Some times she turns it off completely. My only concern is that the nuerosurgeon made a comment about not being able to ride after the surgery. I told him that I would have to think about it before I make a decision. I would love to find someone that has had this procedure done that I could talk to. I will check out the website that you listed. Again thanks for the information.

An "intrathecal drug delivery systems"? I went to see my neurosurgeon today and he recommended this as a way of relief of my constast low back and leg pain. I have looked on the web and found alot of sites that expain what it is but no where can I find a forum or blog by people that have had the procedure. I have not had a pain free day on almost 3 years and this really sound like the way to get rid of the pain BUT I am alittle afraid of the unknown. If any of you have some information--please forward it to me.

4 of us did a one hour ride on the first. Started out at 38 degrees but dropped to around 30 when we fininshed. Spitted snow for awhile but at least I got to ride.

Hey gang, first of all MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Now for my question, I am looking for a chrome V4 emblem to put on each of the saddle bags. I have looked everywhere and can not find them any where. Does anybody on here know where I can get a set?
-
Should have bought the Midnight, it comes with chrome controls.

Can't think of much else to do. Any suggestions? Will wait for the rain to stop before I give her a good cleaning and waxing. Rememeber, I live in Tennessee and I ride year round (execpt in the ice and snow) Coldest day I have ridden to work was 18 degrees, not sure I will do that again. Still have one more thing to do, put the crash bar supports on. Already have the clamps just have to find a local shop to get the metal cut and drilled.

Well I think I have completed everything that I planned for the winter projects and it is just the beginning of December. Installed the Dyna 3000, Barons sub sonic tach on the brake reservoir, K&N air filters, new Avon on the front, auxiliary power plug behind the drivers seat, re-routed the wifes communication cable so that she can access it easier, and tightened all the bolts that I can get too. I don't think that there is too much more I can do exept get out and ride.

I have just spent and hour looking for the thread that talked about a support from the drivers floorboards to the engine guards to stiffen the lowers. I have the clamps but can not remeber where and how they were attached to the floorboards. Someone please help a feeble old man.

One unknow fact, Yamaha also offers a trip planning service. I called the national toll free number and told them that I was not having trouble but was planning a trip to Ohio (maintenance day). Yamaha sent me a trip map with all dealers along the route. Nice service that most are not aware of.

Well, the tach and Dyna 3000 are installed. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Best money I have spent so far. Now to put in K&N air filter and I think I will be done for a while.

I have the studded Yamaha tank bib. The pockets are a good size without looking to big. Here is the link: http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/accessories/acscitemdetail/5/4/83/407/all/1/189/0/detail.aspx

A SWEET MACHINE!! :thumbsup2:The local dealer has the Raider S had one on the show room floor Saturday. It is really a nice machine. I love the paint and the way it sits, low and mean. Lucky the wife was with me and made me leave or you never know what might have happened.

Boomer came by my house one Saturday afternoon and we had them install and on the road in less than 30 minutes without removing the rear tire.

I plan to be there again this year. I learned alot last year and met some really great people.

Well, my local law enforcement friend told me that blue and red lights are a no-no here in Tennessee. What a shame--BUT instead of buying the lights, I just ordered the Dyna 3000. :mo money:My local dealer got it for me for $239 tax and all. I had to jump on it. As for the tach, it is still sitting on my work bench. As some of you know, I have issues with my back and it has been sort of controlling me lately if you know what I mean. So I have decided to let the service guy put it on while they are changing my I basket next week. It is worth the $40 to have him do it right.

Got the Barons SubSonic tach in today and I figured that since I have to take the tank off to install the tach, that I might as well install some mood lights while I am at it. I am considering the Custom Dynamics Standard CD LED Accent Kit. It is $114 for the kit. Is this a good price or should I be looking elsewhere. I plan to put the blue lights on my Midnight RSV, just because I love the look that Boomer has on his bike.

Thanks guys. The tach should be here by Friday and with a large Honey Do list, I may not get started install it until some time next week. Tartan Terror don't be surprized if I take you up on that phone help.
