  1. The trailer came pre-wired. I also tried my cooler rack on the bike and get the same results. Is there something that could have come loose at the modular?
  2. :confused07:I have a Piggy Backer trailer. I used the Modulite modual wiring kit in order to use the 4 pin wiring kits. My problem (on the trailer) is this, my brake lights and running lights work like they are supposed to. The turn signals work right also, BUT when I have the turn signal on and hit the brakes, the turn signal stops flashing. The turn signals, front and back, work properly on the bike. What did I do wrong with the wiring?
  3. Wife and I are heading to the Smokies in the morning. Will go over and jump on the Blue Ridge Parkway and see how far we can get before Saturday. She is not big on long days in the saddle so we are going to take it slow and easy. If we only make it half way then that is OK by me. Just getting away for awhile is worth it.
  4. Road Kill I would love to ride you area but I only have about 5 days for a round trip and I would have to push it to make it to you. (Wife only wants to ride about 300 miles a day at the most). Maybe when I have more time. But thanks for the invite.
  5. I know. My wife and I rode around there last year for our vacation. We have ridden the Dragon several times and my wife is not impressed. We grew up riding bikes in eastern Kentucky and southern West Virginia and the roads there may not have as many curves all bunched up in one place, but the curves they have will allow you to clean off you tail light before you finish going through it. All joking aside, we loved that area but the "Boss" wants to go north and hope to see some of the leaves changing and I thought the best place to do that is on the Blue Ridge. On October 10-12 our CMA chapter is have a mens fellowship and plan to stay at Telico Plans motorcycle resort. Anyone is welcome to come and join us.
  6. I thought the southern most part of the Blue Ridge Parkway ended in Cherokee NC.
  7. I really appreciate the suggestions, and ECK is the same ride we did at Vogel 2006? And now there is a change to our dates. We are not leaving on October 1 and since it will be early enough to have good weather we now plan to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway. This was our original plan from the beginning. We will get on in Cherokee NC and head north. Not making any reservations, just stopping when we get tired. Not sure how far we will make it but the wife wants to see her sister in Grundy VA on our way back.
  8. The wife and I can not get away for anytime to ourselves until the last week of October and we only have about 5 days. I need some suggestions as to where we can go. As some of you know, I live in the north central part of Tennessee. We are not sure if the weather will allow us to ride the bike or not (wife is not a cold weather lady). Any help would be appreciated.
  9. I have one of these and it works great. Just be sure to get a DUMMY CORD to remind you to take it off before leaving. http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/detail.cfm?model_ID=42&Category_ID=9&manufacturer_ID=373&product_ID=21796
  10. Well my truck has red turn signals, any difference?
  11. I agree. I changed my clear turn signal lenses on my '06 to red. With the harley lights, now everything matches.
  12. Eck thanks for the good will jester but I would not ask or accept one that was purchased that way. It is not the money, it is the principle of the thing. I think enough has been said, let's just drop it.
  13. Eck, I hope no one from here took it but I know it was on the bike at maintenance day because I wiped the bike down before I left and it was not loose but on Sunday morning, while doing my once over before heading south, it was gone. As my title states, I am not accusing anyone from this site.
  14. Readneck, you have mail...
  15. You can get the after market piece for $80:mo money:. I know that the piece was tight. Before I left Tennessee I made sure all the bolts were good to go. I have the Wagner grill and have had it for 2 years with no problem. Maybe I can get some "chrome" spray paint and make a fake one.:rotfl:
  16. I have not said anything but I must expressing my feelings. During the maintenance day someone wanted the chrome piece on the rear of the front fender of my bike and decided to take it. It happened at the hotel on Saturday night. I am not saying someone from the site did it but it had to be someone with a 2nd Gen. I priced the item from Yamaha and it is $160. I guess I will just do without for that price. I am sorry that this had to happen.
  17. Just my opinion, if they are that small, they don't need to be riding.
  18. I don't know about you guys but I have tried to order several items that are listed on the website just to find out that they are discontinued. How can Yamaha discontinue an item that was just published on the newest catalog? I have called Yamaha and complained but you know how that goes.
  19. I am in agreement with Steve. I do not have a speedohealer but I have had the speedometer hand almost into the gas gauge. I know that is more than 90. Or at least I hope so. This also goes to prove---BLACK IS FASTEST!!!

    Covers

:2cents:I don't know about the rest of you guys, but the exigent bike cover is the best I have had. It fits in a stuff bag about 6"x8"x3". You can put it on a hot bike with no problems. For you that stayed at the Oberlin Inn during maintenance day, I put it on my bike every night. Here is the web address where I got mine. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. http://www.exigentbikecovers.com/bikecovers.htm
  21. Looking forward to meet you also. If I had not made plans to ride up on Thursday, we could have rode together.. Maybe next time.
  22. Does anybody know the HP on this monster??
  23. My wife and I are planning that trip in early October. Hopefully the trees will be in full color by that time. We are planning to do the entire Parkway, unless she decides to visit her sister near Roanoke. We have driven the Shenandoah Valley several times when I was stationed in DC. And I have deer hunted there alot of times. There is no more beautiful place in this world.
  24. :dancefool:I will be there, rain or shine. Only one thing--I followed everyone to Don's house last year and I have NO IDEA WHERE HE LIVES. I guess I will just follow someone again this year from the Oberlin Inn. Should be there early Friday afternoon. Visiting my uncle in Clyde, Ohio on Thursday.
  25. Yeah flb 78--I have the torsion bar suspension. It really pulls great but I am running just with the air that came in them.
