  1. I have my Piggy Backer all set up and have done my research about what cooler to use. Now for the question--how much air should I be running in the tires? I have the XL with 12" wheels. Thanks!!
  2. If you want to know how the RSV handles in the rain, just ask anyone who went on the Natchez Trace ride. RAIN, RAIN ALL DAY ON FRIDAY. These bikes handle great, but seeing through the windshield is another problem. As long as I could see WolfMan*1 taillights I was good to go.
  3. Here you go. Took me about 20 minutes to install. http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/detail.cfm?model_ID=42&Category_ID=14&manufacturer_ID=39&product_ID=5363

I was picking up my bike from the dealer today (had my 16000 service) and they had an 08 RSV on the showroom floor. I really like the color. Not to flashy--just right.
  5. Mine fell off my '06. Tried to order just the button and the dealer told me that it could not be ordered. He told me he would order the entire unit and install it. Everything was covered by the warranty.
  6. I guess I do an over kill. I use the handlebar lock, put a stainless steele security lock on the neck of the bike and also a disc lock. Takes me 10 minutes just to get ready to ride. I keep all these lock in the trunk.

  9. The Modulite is the adapter.
  10. I agree with Kbran. I installed the Modulite on my RSV and can now use the standard 4 pin connector.
  11. Don't want to take you away from the family, but if you have time, stop by for a cup of coffee. Glad you are safe and in one piece.

  12. Should I cut the chain and attached it on each side or will it be OK to attach just on one side.
  13. Got my swivel hitch in today and was going to put it on but I can not figure out where to bolt the safety chains. Without the swivel hitch I just ran one of the bolts through the chain inside the channel but with the swivel, the channel is all filled up.
  14. Thanks, not sure why it would not come up when I did the search for the 2357LL. Another question, I am replacing my clear lens on the rear to red to match the Harley lights that I have. Is the 2357 the same bulb execpt that it is clear?
  15. KiteSquid, Where did you buy your bulbs? AutoZone and Advanced auto do not list them.
  16. Eck beat me to it. The number is on your roadside assistance card.
  17. :dancefool:Yamaha Road Side assistance and told them I was taking a trip to Oberlin (Maintenance Day) and then on to Berkley Michigan then back home. They are sending me a trip layout with local dealers and maps. She said that I will receive everything before my trip. Nice benefit provided by Yamaha.
  18. I must be driving too hard. RoadKill got 15,500 on his rear tire and only got 13,000 on mine. That still beat the 4,200 I got on the original tire. Changing out my rear before the trip to Don's place.
  19. Got my Piggy Backer all put together. They forgot to include the lug nuts and they are sending me a new set of fenders. The paint was flaking off of the one that came with the trailer. The personnel at Piggy Backer are good to work with. When I told them about the missing parts and the fenders, they told me that replacements would go out that day. Now -- should I put a thin sheet of plywood in the bottom of the trailer and replace to bolt with eye hooks? Or would carpet do the trick?
  20. I just ordered the rear from Dennis Kirk, $120 delivered. Got it in 2 days.
  21. OK update on the nail in my tire. I was not sure if the guy that told me there was a nail in my tire was on the level. Our maintenance shop is near the parking lot so I ask one our maintenance guy to check it out. He call back about 30 minutes later and told me that it looked like a roofing tack in my tire. When it was time for me to go home, I got all geared up and looked down at the "nail" in my tire. I think both of those guys are blind, what they called a nail was a chrome cap that fits in the allen head bolts. It was just stuck in the tread. So I will have to wait and see if Ride On works.
  22. I ordered the swivel hitch from Black Tie Accessories. A little pricey but made for the Piggy Backer. They do not have a website but the lady at Piggy Back gave me their number. 888-718-1037:2143:
  23. THANKS GUYS. I will wait until I am ready to ride home and then pull it out. I have a 10 trip home so the Ride On should have sealed the hole by then.
  24. I rode to work this morning, parked the bike, covered it and went to the office. One of the other guys that rode today came in and told me that I had a nail in the tread of my front tire. I have Ride On in my tires so---Do I pull the nail out or leave it there? Should I wait till I get home to do it, just in case it goes flat? HELP!!
