Dave, that looks a lot like the cooling vest, and same price, that I bought before the 8k mile, 6 week trip that I did last summer. I actually left without it and when I realized it, rode an extra hour to go home to get it! But I'm glad I did. It did real well under my mesh jacket, but over 90 (once I saw 106 on my thermometer) it doesn't last 5 hours like they claim ! It would last an hour and a half at most. I would have about a half hour without it, getting to the next gas stop! Both are highly recommended!

I carry a cheap compressor that I bought at Wally World. I also took off all the plastic which reduced the overall size considerably. A friend of mine carries the Cycle Pumps and it is good. He also carries the Stop&Go tire plug system. I know those are excellent. I got a nail in a tire (rear) with only a few hundred miles on it and couldn't afford (or stand!) to replace it. I plugged it with Stop&Go and, as I recall, got 12000 more miles from that tire! In fact, I think that was the tire I did my burn out with and the plug even survived that! (Or maybe I'm hallucinating that part. I've blinked since then!)

If your stock lens is still ok, Fly-N-Lo can tell you how to light it. He did his and it looks really good! He has also threatened to help do mine, but we haven't gotten a round tuit yet. You might PM him and ask the particulars.

My Dad is My Hero, A Tribute To Greg Darling In The Words Of An 8 Year Old.

My prayers are with you for your mom tomorrow, Lyle. -
This essay was written by my friends 8 year old son. It speaks volumes about the man. -------------------------------------- My Dad is My Hero By Connor Darling My Dad is my Hero because he is battling cancer and is brave and strong. He is very loving. My Daddy is going to Heaven to live with God. I am very sad because I won’t be able to see him for the rest of my life. We used to go fishing but we can’t go fishing now because he is dying. My Daddy taught me many things. He taught me how to get the hook out of the fish’s mouth. He used to call himself “The Manner Police” because he was always teaching me to use good manners. He taught me moves for basketball, soccer and lacrosse and came to all my games. He taught me to be a good sport, even when I lost, and to congratulate the winner. He worked a lot with my classes and the children in my school. My Daddy is patriotic and very proud to be an American. He taught me about our country, and songs about the United States and how to be a good citizen. Dad talked to everyone and taught me to try and brighten other people’s days by making them smile and laugh. He taught me to be gentler with my baby brother. He taught me to be generous, brave, kind and good to all people, and to be a gentleman. When my Mommy told me Daddy was going to Heaven, I said, “Even if a miracle happens?” She said yes. But I’m still praying for a miracle to make Daddy better. Daddy told me his spirit and heart will stay with us forever and he was okay with dying. He said he would be watching me from Heaven every day; he would watch all my games from Heaven, and that I could talk to him anytime I wanted. He said I am the man of our family now and should take care of Mommy. He said he was so proud of me and he loved me. I said Goodbye to my Daddy today, and it made me cry inside. It was the hardest thing I ever did. I know I will see him in Heaven again some day, but I told my Mommy I don’t know how we will live without my Dad. She just hugged me and said “I don’t know either, Connor. We’ll just have to try”.

This is my DeskTop, the prettiest color and year! Unfortunately I couldn't find it again on my computer to download so I had to take a picture of the LapTop with my phone and email it to my Photobucket acct. This was at a campground in the early morning, Beautiful, but not real clear! http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e138/TMagEnterprises/Extra%20Junk/desktop.jpg

It would seem, George, that 2nd gen owners don't understand that a first gen runs different tires than theirs! Or else we can't convince them that we are talking about 1st gens. Oh well, watcha gonna do!

Hey Brian, we don't go there for the so called 'food', we go there for the so called 'ice cream'! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_4_11.gifhttp://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_11_6.gif (Of course ya can't beat a good chili-cheese dog!)

I've had a few bee/wasp incidents, the worst being: Riding at highway speed in a 3/4 helmet and a pair of glasses....I got hit right between the eyes by a bumble bee! It didn't sting me but all the guts and/or whatever quickly seeped into both eyes! That really burned and I, too, was lucky to maintain control while I got the bike to the side of the road and stopped because I was almost blind! I've wondered how a wasp/bee can sting you when you hit it going fast? How can they react that fast? And I think I figured it out, maybe they are flying the same direction you are riding and you just fly into the stinger! While riding Saturday, Blackjack had been honking at a dog on the side of the road for a quarter mile and it still ran across right in front of him! He almost tagged it!

At least while she was working she could see you! I have noticed that most young girls nowadays can read a plaque on the wall right through a "mature" man! I'm talking cloak of invisibility here! But what I like in this thread is Gigawhiskey pimpin' Erika out for cocktails!

I am sorry to hear this, my thoughts and prayers go out for Meandog and Nancy. Thanks for keeping us abreast of the situation kbran.

You have a 2nd gen, Howard, and most of these posters have 1st gens. They may be making the front for the 2nd gen, but they still don't seem to be making them for 1st gens.

You were lucky, Alan! A friend of mine was following a truck a few years ago, late at night on the highway, and an inflated rubber raft came out of the back and took him down! Put him in the hospital for a few weeks.
