Anyone Familiar with this bike. A friend of mine is looking at one with the intention of maybe buying it, so he asked me about. but other than having seen the odd one I know next to nothing about it. If anyone can give me some pro's and con's about it that would be great. I think they are asking about $4,000 canadian and I believe it has about 40,000 KM on it. The bike is apparantly in mint shape with lots of extras.

Trying to price parts on 86 VR, any advice appreciated. My thoughts on it here, feel free to punch holes in my theory. I truly don't know what to price these parts at, first time I have ever parted one out. I might be wrong and if I am I'd welcome some constructive criticisim. My thought is that since most of these parts are no longer available as OEM that the parts that are mint or near mint (my coin collecting vernacular coming out) should be worth at a minnimum half of what retail prices were when they were available. Some of the plastic parts, the ones that are most likely the rarest in top condition should by demand bring a higher price than what retail used to be. Based on those thoughts I think I should ask somewhere in the vicinity of 50% of retail for mint/near mint and adjust percentage down from there based on condition issues. Also this not being how I put bread on the table and having bought used parts myself and getting burnt occasionally I will gaurantee any mechanical or electrical parts to function and function properly, unless stated by me that function of the part is unknown and being sold as/is, money back gaurantee after part is returned minus shipping cost if any. If I would have realized how tough this would be I would have done more research before I started. I mistakenly thought I could ask folks to offer a fair price and for the most part they would. I could get more at the scrap yard than some offered as fair. There have been a couple of fair offers not all are bad. Thanks, Bull

Oh man, I'm soooo jealous. Now I wish I had waited to buy my 2K MM, #515 model. This bike is mint, has only 7,141 miles and is the 1st of only 1500 of these beauties made! Or maybe I should have said wine collectors....I have some limited edition merlots from 2001 and 2003 that are about ready to sell. They are from the Marilyn Merlot line. Mint condtion bottles and labels and the wine has been properly cared for and rotated to prevent sediment.

Hello! I recently purchased a "mint" (and I mean mint") 1989 Venture with 28K on it. It has not been used much the last 5 years - only 1000 miles. There appears to be nothing wrong and everything works at this point. I am planning a trip from Massachusetts to Jacksonville in May - then going to Miami, Key West then through GA, NC, WV, V, PA and then back home. Probably 3500 miles or more. What do you think about running this bike that far? I am an old Winger - but don't know much about the Ventures. Thanks for your input! Jim
