I can see what you mean Don. I just had a look (my Zumo is still in the box). Definitely not a good idea to try that one. Thanks Keith

What I was thinking about was that mount with a longer arm ? Would that work or be too far out there ? Keith

Has anyone tried this type of Ram Mount for their GPS on a 2nd Gen ? Looks interesting but I'm curious how it would look. www.ram-mount.com/NewProducts/MotorcycleClampMount/tabid/2038/Default.aspx Keith

Oh Ya this guy was dead serious.....he's no longer there for some reason !! I was explaining to him that I replaced the weaker magnetic one in the rear diff with a stronger one and that's when his comment surfaced about why they are magnetic to begin with....guess it was his defense of the weak magnet in the rear diff plug. And no I don't get any work done there. Keith

Well when I told the Service Manager at my dealership that I replaced the oil drain plug with a magnetic one he commented......"its only magnetic so you can attach it to the bike when changing the oil so it would be easier to find"! Oh Boy!!! Keith

Monty When I put back on the stock end weights I used a piece of 3/4" ID copper water pipe. I can't tell you the length but I had to trim a bit to get the spacing I wanted for the throttle end. Then I used loctite on the weights. Hope this helps Keith

I just purchased a Zumo660 and a Samsung U450 cell phone. I know of a person from the Zumo forums that has the same phone and has no problems using it with the Zumo. I am able to pair them and they talk to each other and both list each other but I am getting a message on the phone "connected as data mode M" and then the Zumo disconnects. I've tried phone to the Zumo and the Zumo to the phone and get the same result! I contacted Garmin and they tell me because the phone is not on their list they can't offer me any help. Any Ideas ????? Thanks Keith

Head-Set Pig Tail Holder - Tank Placement ?
KeithR replied to Cougar's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Hi Wally The bib I have is a Hopnel. I used a Wire holder as shown on the picture and used a couple of rivets to mount it that I picked up at the shoe repair shop.(Not sure if the clip was mounted to the tank when I bought the bike?) Behind the plug itself I had the shoe guy install an eyelet and I just use a elastic hair tie to hold it in place. I just tied a knot in the tie and put it out through the hole. It stays in place and can't move around. A couple of more pictures attached.....if you need more let me know. Keith -

If you are looking for a free photo editing program you can find one here. (I have several programs but I like how this one functions.) www.giveawayoftheday.com On that site is a full program that you can download and install and have a full working copy. The only catch is that you have to download and install it within the time shown on the screen. If you wait till later to install it won't work. There is a different program every 24 hrs. Not sure if this site was posted before...if so ooops!!! Keith
