  1. That's not a how too make one...it's the original installation instructions that come with the Progressive balancing kit. I think I was the first one to ever install that mod and I uploaded those instructions when I was over there years ago. I've never seen any instructions for a home built kit but it is probably possible to come up with something.
  2. I have never seen an early Royal Star with any kind of lowers. I wonder though if a set off the new RSTD could be adapted to work. I know they wouldn't be a direct bolt on but with a bit of creativity....who knows.
  3. My answers are inserted.
  4. I've had stock RKs and Khromewerks. The stock RKs are MUCH quieter than the Khromewerks. To me, the stock RKs were not much louder than the OEM mufflers.
  5. HEY...the Cowboys haven't won that many but they do have few trophies. I sure wish they would get competitive again though. It has been a long dry spell.
  6. Yea, I just looked and I have 3,910 songs on my MP3 player. That is some complete CDs and parts of others. They come from a total of 961 different albums. Now I realize that the sound would not be as good as a CD to a person with a good musical ear but at 70 MPH on a motorcycle, it is close enough.
  7. Well, I have reached the point where I prefer QUIET and have gone back to stock mufflers. I will say though that I preferred the Khromewerks. The Samsons are LOUD and can't be packed, they use a permanent steel baffle. The Khromewerks have a re-packable baffle and I think are just a bit quieter than the Samsons and have a better sound. They also have an integrated shield that covers the clamp area. I just think they are better made.
  8. No, you don't. I've run the K&Ns with Samsons and Khromewerks and it was fine.
  9. That should be very easy to find...have you done a Google search for...... LOSER helmet. Sorry....I just couldn't stop myself. HEY...I'm a COWBOY fan...I would have to do the same search.
  10. I don't think that is a fair statement. There are a number of opinions from folks who DID try it and went back. Even the results of the poll indicated that about 32% went back to a motorcycle tire after experimenting with the car tire. You are correct, many have an opinion and some have never tried it for an extended amount of time but to say that most who don't like it fall into the latter two categories is simply not correct.
  11. That's exactly how I had mine mounted back when I had the changer installed. I liked it much better there than the ones I saw in the saddlebags. I removed it long ago though and went with the MP3 player. Just much more convenient for me.
  12. Yes, that would be possible if anybody really had a desire to do so. Like I said, if it is a real concern, just use the email feature instead of the PM feature.
  13. Yea, either post it as a new idea or......look under the tech talk section and you'll find it where it has been for a few months now.
  14. The simple answer is yes, it would be possible for me to read your private messages if I chose to do so. All private message naturally must be retained on the server in order for you to be able to read them. Anything on the server is stored in the database so it would be possible to read your private messages. That being said, I have absolutely no desire to do so. I don't care about anybody's personal business. It takes enough time just to read each and every post here, I sure don't have time to get into private messages also. If anybody is concerned about that though, you can also use the "email member" option if they have their profile set to accept emails. Emails are NOT saved in the database.
  15. uh...maybe....
  16. Yep...I had to look her up to. I'm not a fan of the Iphone but I'll bet that SHE could sell me one.
  17. Here you go. It's a piece of cake. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=258
  18. I think that the vast majority of you already know this but some may have not given it much thought one way or the other. I do all that I can to make sure that your private information remains private here. That is why if you email another member, the email goes through the venturerider email system so that your actual email address is never displayed here. Your private emails are not given out here by me to any individual or to any company. The only way that somebody should be able to get your email address is to ask you for it. Same with your telephone numbers. Many of us have our numbers listed here for the VR Assistance list and in our profiles. Your profiles are NOT viewable by guests, expired members or (as of today) trial members. I like to give our trial members access to all the features that I can but since pretty much anybody can sign up for a trial membership, I've decided that your member information will only be viewable by other supporting members. Even at that, you have privacy options in your UserCP so that you can hide your information to everybody or make it available only to members on your "friends list", etc. I say all of that to say this. If you are ever contacted by a ex member or guest asking you for another members email address or telephone number, please do NOT give it out. The best thing to do would be to forward the request to the member whose information is being requested and let THEM decide whether or not they wish to provide it. I do all that I can to protect our privacy here, please help me in doing so. Thanks much. Don
  19. Sorry...I...uh....didn't see that. I had already closed my computer.
  20. FINALLY something we can all agree on.
  21. I am almost SURE that they are not. I don't think your Royal Star has the strut that they mount to and if it did, I KNOW that it wouldn't be drilled for them.
  22. uh..yea...I need to get on that....still hanging on the pegboard.
  23. Yea...well she wasn't sleeping beside YOUR bed....
  24. Heck...I didn't even know about the bikini contest....I don't even know where mine is...I'll find it though.
  25. Don't worry...we can change all that.
