Folks, he showed no disrespect for all that your veterans had done for us. He took exception to one comment that was made and he came back and explained that in a later post. This is one of those threads that is tough to decide what to do with. I think that the vast majority, hopefully all, of our members sincerely respect and appreciate what our men and women in uniform have done for us and all the sacrifices that were and still are being made. On the other hand, it does border on the "political". I've left it up out of respect for all of you who served but if it turns into a political debate, it will be deleted as are most political threads.

I just made some more changes. Don't know if it helped or not. Seems pretty quick right now but it doesn't happen all the time. It takes time before I can tell if I did any good or not. Then I also have to wonder if it's my connection, the server, something in the software settings, one of the customizations that I've added.......hard to track down sometimes.

NEED ADVISE!! Found 2001 RSV for $5000 w/12,000 mi. !!!!
Freebird replied to Venture Steve's topic in Watering Hole
If there are no problems with it and it has been properly maintained and a good (not salvage) title, it sounds like a steal to me. -
By the way Brian, do you use the "Push" features?

Scroll through this area and you'll find answers to most of the questions regarding the maps, weather, etc. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=24 Click on the VRAwards link in the upper menu bar to request the awards for PGR, Military Service, etc.

Yea, I've still not figured out what might be slowing it down. It seems fine again this morning. I will probably end up turning some features off and then turning them back on one at a time until I figure it out.

Yes, I knew that they had updated it and I installed the server side updates here yesterday. Still not sure that it isn't causing some server load issues though. I think I'm probably going to remove it later today.

That's good info and I don't blame you at all for your efforts in dispelling such rumors. I agree though that the laws need to be made more clear.

No, forumrunner did not replace Tapatalk. Both are still installed. I'm actually going to remove forumrunner today though.

I don't think there is a LOT to look for. Make sure the wheel bearings feel smooth and the tires are OK. There is just not a lot to watch out for other than any obvious cracks, bad latches, etc. on the box.

HEY...that's a self portrait. I'm CRUSHED.

This is a tough question. I guess there are many things that I would do differently. Most importantly, I would try to be a kinder person, more patient, choose my words more carefully, choose some relationships more carefully....so many things I know now could have been handled better. Since I can't change the past however, I won't dwell on it and just work on being a better person today and in the future.

Earl, Thanks for your report. I have made some changes that will hopefully help. Let me know if you have problems again tonight. TX, I didn't see any real problems at the forumrunner forum but did find some reports at a VBulletin site. I also found that there had been some upgrades to the program since I installed it. I just installed the latest version and re-enabled it. I'm not even sure that is is causing a problem but just searching for the culprit.

Thanks. Such comments do help because I can see what kind of tasks are running at various times. ForumRunner may well be causing an issue though because of the way it works. It uses a third party server to "push" information to the users. It runs a script ever 10 minutes to cue information and then sends it to the third party server. Too early to know for sure but it may well be at least contributing to the problem.

I was asked a while back to install a interface called ForumRunner for the site. It is a program that is supposed to make the site better for those using IPads and Iphones I think. Just a note that I have at least temporarily disabled that program due to excess load on the server. I don't know for sure if it is the culprit but am temporarily disabling features that I have added over the past two or three months in an effort to figure out what is slowing things down.

This doesn't answer your question but I do have a response to the sound quality of the Edset speakers. I find them to be VERY good but you have to get them close to your ears. When I first installed mine, I had deep pockets left over from the previous headset. I simply placed the Edset speakers in the back of those pockets. The sound wasn't that great. I then move them out so that they are almost touching my ears and they are fantastic now. The best I've ever owned and I've used the highest priced sets from J&M as well as AirRider. The Edsets blow them away. They must be close to your ears though. I also discovered that I had ONE of the speakers turned backwards.

Oh don't worry...they have visited...no doubt about that. Now whether or not they LISTEN...that is an entirely different story.

It is a Microsoft Word format. If you don't have a fairly recent copy of Word, you won't be able to open it. There are also some free Word readers that you can download.

Yes, I'll get some more ordered when I feel that there is enough interest. I've ordered them four or five times now but this last batch has lasted a while.

WOW...that is just very cool.

I have a very few of them. Ordering/Payment instructions are in the "VentureRiider Merchandise" forum.

Well, personally I think that is cool but WAY unnecessary.
