  1. Looks like a good start to a car Gary....when is the rest of it supposed to arrive?
  2. Well, I think that after running this site for almost 7 years now, I have a pretty good sense of what will turn nasty fairly quickly. I know also though that I'm not perfect and do make mistakes. I have restored the video in your first post and we'll see how it goes. If it DOES go the way that I expect it will, the entire thread will be deleted. I hope that I am proven wrong.
  3. I've gotten a few over the years from members here and knew that they were likely infected with a virus or Malware. I usually just come here and send them a PM to let them know. Then you are not sending a confirmation email to a possible spammer and they would likely appreciate being notified.
  4. I hope you took the time to notify those people. Often they don't even know that they have been infected.
  5. Sorry folks, this is absolutely and blatantly political. As important as it may be, it will go nowhere but down hill here. Video has been deleted.
  6. Well, they are certainly different and really sort of cool looking. Very cheap also but that's not always a good thing. I know nothing about them but here is my opinion. They are cheap because they are NOT mufflers in any manner. They are simply a straight pipe with a fancy end. They are going to be VERY LOUD. Even the true mufflers made by Samson, Khromewerks, Barons and etc. are too loud for many people These FTRs clearly state that they are straight pipes with no baffles. I think that there are very few people who would like them on a touring bike.
  7. I've never heard of them. Do you have a picture or a link to the site where they are sold?
  8. Yes, what Joe said.
  9. You go to this URL to create your map. Then save it and save it as your "signature pic" in your UserCP. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3920&highlight=states
  10. Yea, I just went back and looked again. You are right and I agree, I wouldn't order that one.
  11. HEY...it was MEL who drug age into this thing. It is ALL HIS FAULT. I think we should tar and feather him. Besides, I like having you for a friend. I somehow feel so much younger when I'm standing next to you.
  12. I'm not following that one. What do you mean?
  13. Yea, but each one takes more ink. I added these to the links page long ago but here are some brass plaques that use rhinestones to indicate where you have traveled. http://www.badgemaker2.com/web_store/web_store.cgi?page=mc_plates.html&category=yes&cart_id=
  14. Hey....I know a LOT of people older than me....well...I mean...I know SOME people older than me....well....not as many as I used to but there are still a few.
  15. I got an email asking if I knew where to get the "states visited" patches. I did some searching and found a place that has the patches and you color the states in with a marker. Thought I would post it here in case anybody else is interested. http://www.gmanindustries.com/shop/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=49
  16. Yes, almost 40, it's a '72 model I think. Has the original 8HP iron Kohler engine. It is a real work horse. It's getting a little tired. I mowed with it one time last summer because I was waiting on a part for my regular mower and it used about a pint of oil while mowing about 3 1/2 acres. Not too bad for it's age. I bought it about 3 or 4 years ago from an older gentleman who had bought it brand new and he took good care of it.
  17. OOPS....sorry about that. I can't believe you guys went an entire day without reminding me. Anyway, the winner has been randomly drawn and that lucky person is? Leadwolf56 Congrats Kevin
  18. I've got the bearing and the bushing ordered. Should be here by next winter. Hopefully we won't get TOO much this time and can burrow through it with the SUV.
  19. and I'm not ready. We got about 12" yesterday. Got most of the driveway cleared and the snowblower broke. I had to order a new needle bearing and bushing for for the chain drive. Amazing that nobody stocks parts for a 40 year old John Deere snow thrower any more. Now it is snowing again so I just hope we don't get too much. I'm guessing it will probably be a week before the parts arrive. Send me a needle bearing for this if you happen to have one in your pocket.
  20. New posts are posts that have been made since YOUR last visit. It could be very long or very short, depending on how long it has been since you logged on and checked. Today's posts are exactly that. Posts that have been made today.

    Hey Bongo

Now THAT sounds GOOD. I used to come across some of the home distilled product in Alabama...some of it was quite good.

Now what's that old saying...the one about not wanting to be a member of any group that would have me?
