  1. and I'm not ready. We got about 12" yesterday. Got most of the driveway cleared and the snowblower broke. I had to order a new needle bearing and bushing for for the chain drive. Amazing that nobody stocks parts for a 40 year old John Deere snow thrower any more. Now it is snowing again so I just hope we don't get too much. I'm guessing it will probably be a week before the parts arrive. Send me a needle bearing for this if you happen to have one in your pocket.
  2. New posts are posts that have been made since YOUR last visit. It could be very long or very short, depending on how long it has been since you logged on and checked. Today's posts are exactly that. Posts that have been made today.

    Hey Bongo

Now THAT sounds GOOD. I used to come across some of the home distilled product in Alabama...some of it was quite good.

    Hey Bongo

Now what's that old saying...the one about not wanting to be a member of any group that would have me?

    Hey Bongo

I did not....I just followed some clues.

    Hey Bongo

OK....I'm going to guess a LARGE format printout of the wiring diagram for his first gen.
  7. WOW....where are you going? We'll all meet you there.
  8. This may be the article that you are thinking of. Very nicely done and submitted by Eck. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=498
  9. Yes, I just tried and am getting the same thing. They are probably just having a temporary problem with the site.
  10. The links to Ebay always work for me IF people do it right. The problem is that people login at Ebay and then try to post the links here. Those links do not work because they include information that is tied to the persons login. If you search Ebay while NOT logged in and then post the link here, they work as they should.
  11. I know that they offer billet chrome ones. I'm sure that you should be able to buy the stock ones as well. http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/accessories/acscitemdetail/5/4/83/404/all/all/65/0/detail.aspx
  12. Changing the number posts displayed did not change the way it worked. It always opened that first page up again. It is just a function of the home page not integrating 100% perfectly with the forum software and there is really no easy way to change that. TIRESOME.....geezzzzzzz.....maybe it would be less tiresome if you clicked the more page and then perhaps take a nap, drink a beer or something before you go to all the work of scroooollllliiinnnngggg down that long ol' page to click another button. Or...as Dave suggested...just click the Today's Posts link in the left menu and it gives you what you are asking for.
  13. I just don't even understand the issue with the more button. If you click more, it opens up an new section that starts with the first page and then links at the bottom to page 2, 3, etc. It seems to work fine.
  14. Possible? Yes, but I was about to decide that I wasn't smart enough to find it. After searching the code for about an hour, I FINALLY found where to delete it. Hopefully this will clean the menu up a bit. Sorry, linking them to your own "subscribed threads" is just easier said than done. At least for me. Sorry it took me so long to get around to it.

    Sold

    I know too....and I'm not telling either.
  16. Well...the wire that I told you about will let them be on anytime the ignition is on but NOT when it's off. That is the way mine are wired. I turn them on and off with a switch but they do not work with the ignition off. If you want them to be on with the ignition turned off, I would say to run a fused wire all the way from the battery.
  17. Red wire with yellow stripe. See the document attached to this thread. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=43898
  18. Very clever. A new and CHEAP way to add more safety chrome.
  19. 17 out of 20 for me. I barely even remember Pogo...don't think I've ever watched it.
  20. This tech bulletin from Yamaha shows the proper sequence. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1705
  21. It just depends on what she looks like.
  22. I agree...great product.
  23. If people want shirts, I'll come up with some. I won't mess with patches but I don't mind having shirts made.
  24. Sierra is pretty much ALWAYS cheaper than buying direct and a fantastic company to work with. I've dealt with Sierra for over 10 years and they are just a great company.
  25. It's not clear to me which ones he's talking about. The wind deflectors that bolt on to the brackets or the horizontal ones that extend two or three inches at the bottom of the fairing. Diamond R makes a nice set of SS ones with SS brackets for the former. I have had them for several years now and they are really good. If he is talking about the long/horizontal ones, I don't know of any other than stock. I have seen a lot of people paint them on the inside though and it looks nice.
