Rick, Glad you got it going again. That was probably the easiest thing to do. WOW...sounds like there is all kind of good news in your life right now and I am truly happy for you. I hope folks listen to your advice regarding the diabetes or anything else that they need to be looking after.
-
Now THAT is a deal. Eileen wears a size 7 or I would take you up on that offer.
-
Well...in my opinion...they got to you. Like I've said, I've run several brands of mufflers and the Samson's were close to just being straight through and NONE of them caused any performance problems or problems with the cruise control. I think they just took you for $100.00. Besides, there is only one simple adjustment on the cruiser control..it is the freeplay...and it would take about 15 minutes to adjust. That would make their shop rates about $400.00 per hour. Oh..and to answer your question...it really should not affect your warranty but with a dealer like yours, they would probably try to make that claim. Way back when, during the time that my bike was under warranty, I had it in a couple of times and the mufflers were never mentioned.

Yea, we have a great time. Just tell Uncle Sam that you are busy that weekend. I'm sure they would understand.

I actually just installed Firefox 4 RC1 a few days ago. So far, no problems with it at all.

June 4th in Oberlin, OH. About 20 minutes SW of Cleveland. There will probably be about 250 people here.
-
Heck Newventure, you aren't that far from Oberlin, OH. If you can hold off, you should just show up here at my house for Maintenance Day. There will be a LOT of bikes for you to listen to.

Passenger intercom push to talk button
Freebird replied to shikano53's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
No problem. Actually, this was just discussed earlier this week. See this thread for the part numbers and some links to where to get one. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=57304&highlight=passenger -
Here is the link to Khromewerks. I had the turn down tips on mine but you can rotate them so that they turn down, out or at a 45 degree angle. http://www.khromewerks.com/

OK...well at least we eliminated that possibility.
-
Rick, I just temporarily removed the mandatory name field. I want to see if that is what is causing your problem. Please try Firefox again and let me know.
-
Rick, There absolutely HAS to be a way to correct the problem. Did you make ANY changes to your browser settings, javascript, ANYTHING?

I suspected that might have been what you meant. I am sorry to hear it but I realize that people have to do what they have to do. You will be missed and I hope you will re-consider someday. -
Well...I got tired of the noise and went back to stock. My preference though, after trying the Road Kings, Samson and Khromewerk and listing to Baron's and Bub's on several other bikes was the Khromewerks. I think the fit and finish was superior and they had a nice deep sound. They can be repacked when necessary. ALL are pretty loud though.

No problem Monty....I can get fired up over this stuff too. Just don't want anybody here to end up on some "watch list". -
Freebird's Maintenance Day Parts/Accessories Thread

Well, I've thought about adding a front fender rail to my '99 for a long time. I guess this would be a good time to do it. If you have one available Chad. -

Chad, This is Don (Freebird) and I have to tell you, it's not exactly a RANCH. I just wanted to say though that I am very excited that you have decided to do this. I hope that our members take advantage of this great service that you are offering us and I am encouraging them to do so. I look forward to meeting you. Actually, I may have met you once before but I just don't remember. I visited your dealership once a few years ago with our very own BongoBobNY and was able to take a test ride on a Spider..or is is Spyder...anyway...I truly enjoyed it. I hope that it ends up being financially worthwhile for you and that you have a great time here. Don -
There is no reason that you shouldn't be able to post in the classifieds yet. What kind of problem are you having? There is no waiting period once you become a paid member.

I agree. I have one of the diaphragm types in the garage that I bought long ago for airing up tires and light duty work but if you plan to use any air tools, sand blasters, spray guns, etc., they just aren't going to work very well. I bought a used 2 stage with a 60 gallon tank for those bigger jobs. I've still got the little unit just because I already had it but air compressors are one thing that buying cheap is really not the best route to take. Plus, the two stage belt driven models run SOOOO much quieter.

I agree that it is NOT normal. The RSV is rock solid and I've NEVER had any wobble. I do agree about the Bridgestone tires. They are terrible but if you've changed the tires, hopefully you didn't go back with a Bridgestone.

One further thing. Before you clear your cache and etc., go to another page. Don't do it while you are at VentureRider.org. I had a recent incident where I had made some changes to an ad on Craigslist. My changes never showed up. I cleared the cache and history but did it while I was still at that page. It was like because I was on that page, it was still retaining the cached copy that I was showing. I left that page and then cleared everything and then went back and it worked.

The order of the posts are set in your UserCP. It sounds though like it is not picking up all your settings and it is probably because it is not logging you in completely. I honestly think that I may have caused the problem for you when I change the Name field to a required field. Did you already have that field completed or did you do it after I made the change? It honestly sounds like a cache problem. It sounds like you added your name after I made the change but your computer is pulling up cached pages of the site so not seeing that you filled it out. In Firefox, click on tools, clear history..and make sure that cache, browsing history and cookies are selected.

Folks....let's please be very careful. I understand the anger and frustration that many folks feel about this but even the hint of the avocation of violence can put you and us in a bad position. I deleted one post and edited another that referred to it. I understand the sentiment but please be careful about what you suggest. -

David, I understand and don't see how anybody could turn it into a political issue. Anybody who doesn't think that spewing hate speech at the funeral of 7 children is just plain sick probably doesn't belong here. -
Your care package arrived. You better watch yourself...you are going to end up with a reputation of being a very sweet lady.
