    I like Thunderbird. I've been using it for a couple of years now. It works well.

    That's too bad. The 3100 may be OK but the 3800 is, in my opinion, one of the best engines GM ever made.

    It's been a long time but I THINK they are 4" also. I know that back when I had my '88, I replaced them with a set of Pioneers that I picked up at Walmart.

    I wonder if the ignition switch has gone south. It's a common problem on some of these bikes. You could bypass it to see. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=512

    You might try looking up the Kennedy Cell Set. I think they make one that would do what you are asking.

    They may be too deep for the rear speaker pods. I first bought a set of Alpines that worked fine in the front but were too deep for the rear. I really don't worry about whether or not they are marine rated. The polks are but I've had some that weren't and they were fine.

    First, make sure you have a program associated to do it. From the IE8 menu, choose "tools", "internet options", then the "programs" tab and make sure you have an email client listed there.

    I like it. I saw it priced somewhere for about $212.00 but they seem to be hard to find. The one place I found showed them out of stock. That's a lot of money for a headlight anyway.

    I agree...from many reports here...the groan is the first symptom. If they refuse to replace it, I would at least get it in writing that it was reported while under warranty.

    Phill, You've had some amazing two wheeled adventures. I'll admit to being a bit envious. I want to personally thank you for taking the time to share some of them with us.

    The RSV and the Goldwing were the same before for the previous model Wings. I'm not sure about the 1800s.

    You can buy that same cable here from one of our members. BuddyRich has been making and selling them here for at least a couple of years now. I have it on my bike and it works great. I used it with my Zumo 550 and now the 665.

    I'll send an email to the chat host today and see if they can figure out what is going on.

    If you are actually replacing the fairing, that means that 90% of the work is done as far as repacking the head bearings. I would absolutely do it. Most do not have enough grease from the factory.

    That's great news Lewis. She has been in our prayers. Hopefully your bionic woman will be finished with the surgeries for a while. Make sure that she knows we are all thinking about and praying for her.

    I didn't understand what you were talking about until you posted the pictures. You did a good job but I think I like mine the way it is. The thing is, yes, it is not straight with the master cylinder but when I take the bike off the side stand and to the riding position, it is level with my eyesight as is. The way you have changed it, it would not be level when I am riding. I think that would drive me crazy. Good job on the modification but it's just not for me.

    My problem was not with the majority of the content and I agree with some of what is said in the video. Some of the so called "facts" can certainly be disputed but the overall message is one of common sense. The worry I had about it turning political was based upon where the video came from. You simply can't post ANYTHING that originates from the Tides Foundation and then say that it's not political. Anybody who knows anything about them knows better.

    This has been discussed here many times and ALWAYS has resulted in the thread being deleted. This thread has been OK so far. Recommendations were asked for and have been given. The thread is NOT about why anybody chooses to carry, have they ever needed to use their firearm, or any other political or moral discussion. This is NOT a thread to debate the right or desire to carry or whether or not it should be allowed. The fact is, in MANY places it is 100% legal to carry and this member asked for suggestions. This is not a gun debate and if it turns into one, the thread will be deleted.

    Well, I think that after running this site for almost 7 years now, I have a pretty good sense of what will turn nasty fairly quickly. I know also though that I'm not perfect and do make mistakes. I have restored the video in your first post and we'll see how it goes. If it DOES go the way that I expect it will, the entire thread will be deleted. I hope that I am proven wrong.

    I've gotten a few over the years from members here and knew that they were likely infected with a virus or Malware. I usually just come here and send them a PM to let them know. Then you are not sending a confirmation email to a possible spammer and they would likely appreciate being notified.

    I hope you took the time to notify those people. Often they don't even know that they have been infected.
