Looks like they have a good sale on all the weights. I'm going to stop by and pick up what I need to change the oil in my wife's Crossfire. It uses 8 1/2 quarts of 0W-40.

I've seen it done by a few people. Their next questions were "what is the best way to plug holes in the air breathers". These engines are already set from the factory to run too lean in most folks opinions. Allowing more air just makes them leaner yet.

Kenny, You can go to this thread and download the RSV Owners Manual. The instructions are on pages 4/16 and 4/17 I think. If don't have an owners manual, you should print it as it has information that you will need from time to time. Here are the two pages that tell how to program the buttons either manual or automatically though. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1828

Auxiliary brake light wiring
Freebird replied to DarkLeftArm's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I think that is an excellent idea for a product. I would have sure gone that route if it had been available when I did mine. Not a lot of extra wire in that area and it would have sure made it easier and reversible. -
Sounds like he doesn't know his products very well. I've bought several of them at Radio Shack. Last time I was there, they didn't have the 3' one though, only one that was 6'. I saw some 3' ones at Best Buy the other night. Sorry, I said Walmar earlier but it was actually Best Buy.
-
Not really. Just send the check to him at the address listed and then send me a PM that you sent it and I'll put you down for 6 chances.
-
I think they look fantastic but I don't want to give up my personalized ones.

A lot of people still run the 404 and some do so because of the whitewall. It's really not a bad tire. Won't last as many miles as an E3 or Avon but I thought the performance was fine. I don't know what you mean though about Maxxis being history. They appear to still be around.

Yes, Radio Shack has them and I even saw some at Best Buy last week near the Ipod accessories.

Are you talking about in the forum? I added that area once when I was having some trouble with the classifieds and also some here had commented that they felt they should be in the actual forum. It turned out that the vast majority preferred the actual classified pages and I think that most of our vendors have moved their items back there. I may need to delete the forum based ones to end the confusion.

It's there folks. He just has so much great stuff that you have to scroll down and go to his second page. Here is a link to his kit. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=3763&title=second-genheavy-duty-clutch-spring-upgrade-kit-21&cat=22

I haven't looked at them so can't so for sure but I will say that there is VERY little chance of it working for either one.

No phone calls this time. A few texts....some emails.....I think there was a bloodhound scratching on my hotel door but I'm not sure.
-
Yep....and I've been pulling out what is left of my hair.

I don't see that becoming a possibility anytime soon. I actually tried to add that feature once and it was really a hog on the server resources. All you have to do is exchange emails with the other member and send them that way.

I wonder if it is something in the security settings or something. I always use Firefox and have never had that happen. Just installed Firefox 11 yesterday and still no problems.
-
OOPS...sorry about that. I deleted the other thread so that it would not be confusing. I just added the pictures to my first post.

I've received no other reports of anybody having a problem. Which posts are you trying to reply to? It's not in the tech library is it? Those are read only and nobody can reply there. Also, you shouldn't have to hit preview though.

Thank you. Folks, the donations are starting to tickle in. Thank you very much. I don't know how long I will keep the raffle open. I'm thinking a week or two. We'll just see how it goes. When it looks like everybody is about done, I'll announce that it is coming to an end and a date for the drawing.

Trailer Raffle Has Concluded. No more ticket sales. Winner will be drawn soon. Thank you all very much for your support. As most of you know, Dano hit a dear on his RSV about 3 months ago and spent a good a long while in the hospital. He is home now and doing outpatient rehab but it is going to be at least a few more months before he is able to think about working again. Dano is self employed so no work means no money. Those of you who have been fortunate enough to meet him and Rose know that they are just great people. Dano is one that is always there when anybody needs his help but now he could use our help. Jeff and Margaret kindly donated the trailer that they bought and loaned Aussie Annie and Quickstep to use during their travels in the USA last summer. We are going to raffle this trailer off with all proceeds going to Dano. If you have no interest in the trailer and but with to donate to the fundraiser anyway, that would be great also. The trailer is a 1994 Cycle Mate. It had new tires installed last summer and the wheel bearings were all repacked at the same time. Now please be aware that this trailer is presently being stored at a members house in Washington State. Getting it home will basically be the winners responsibility but I know that as a group,, we can do a trailer relay and help get it to the winner. Rather than all the funds going through me or somebody else, I think the easiest way to do this will be to have you send your donations directly to Dano. The tickets will be $10.00 each or 3 for $25.00. If you use PayPal, PLEASE do NOT mention anything about a raffles as PayPal does NOT allow their services to be used for raffles. When you sent him the money, click on the "personal" tab and mark it as a "gift". That way there will be no PayPal fees held out of the donations. Now this will be an extra step and a bit of an inconvenience for you but if you are actually sending a donation and want to be included in the raffle, you need to send me a private message and let me know that you have sent Dano the donation and how much it was so that I will know how many tickets to be added to the raffle in your name. I will not be sending out ticket stubs or anything like that. At the conclusion of the raffles, I will use a random number generator to choose the winner. So let the fun begin. I hope that many of you will help out. If you can't send $10.00 for a raffle ticket, then $1.00, $5.00...whatever size donation will still be appreciated. It all adds up. Here is the info for Dano. You can use this email address to send funds via PayPal. Just got to paypal.com, login, click send money, enter Dano's email address, click on the tab that says personal, mark it as a gift and send. If you don't use PayPal, you can send a check, money order, whatever to this address. Dano's PayPal email address is: danob11@comcast.net His home address is: Dan Obert 8699 W 800 N Indianapolis, Indiana 46259-9402

You would THINK that I would be getting pretty good on the guitar but it's just not happening. I take it with me every week but there are some weeks that I never open the case. There is obviously something wrong with the guitars that I have...they just don't sound like the ones I've heard on TV, Radio, etc. I may have to try another one.

Two guys were discussing popular family trends on sex, marriage, and family values. Bill said, 'I didn't sleep with my wife before we got married, did you?' Larry replied, 'I'm not sure, what was her maiden name?' ___________________________________________ A little boy went up to his father and asked: 'Dad, where did my intelligence come from?' The father replied. 'Well, son, you must have got it from your mother, cause I still have mine.' ______________________________________ 'Mr. Clark, I have reviewed this case very carefully,' the divorce Court Judge said, 'And I've decided to give your wife $775 a week,' 'That's very fair, your honor,' the husband said. 'And every now and then I'll try to send her a few bucks myself.' __________________________________________ A doctor examining a woman who had been rushed to the Emergency Room, took the husband aside, and said, 'I don't like the looks of your wife at all.' 'Me neither doc,' said the husband. 'But she's a great cook and really good with the kids.' __________________________________________ An old man goes to the Wizard to ask him if he can remove a curse he has been living with for the last 40 years. The Wizard says, 'Maybe, but you will have to tell me the exact words that were used to put the curse on you.' The old man says without hesitation, 'I now pronounce you man and wife.' __________________________________________ A blonde calls Delta Airlines and asks, 'Can you tell me how long it'll take to fly from San Francisco to New York City?' The agent replies, 'Just a minute.' 'Thank you,' the blonde says, and hangs up. _________________________________________ Moe: 'My wife got me to believe in religion.' Joe: 'Really?' Moe: 'Yeah. Until I married her I didn't believe in Hell.' __________________________________________ A man is recovering from surgery when the Surgical Nurse appears and asks him how he is feeling. 'I'm O. K. But I didn't like the four letter-words the doctor used in surgery,' he answered. 'What did he say,' asked the nurse. 'Oops!' __________________________________________ While shopping for vacation clothes, my husband and I passed a display of bathing suits. It had been at least ten years and twenty pounds since I had even considered buying a bathing suit, so I sought my husband's advice. 'What do you think?' I asked. 'Should I get a bikini or an all-in-one?' 'Better get a bikini,' he replied. 'You'd never get it all in one.' He's still in intensive care. _________________________________________ The graveside service just barely finished, when there was massive clap of thunder, followed by a tremendous bolt of lightning, accompanied by even more thunder rumbling in the distance... The little old man looked at the pastor and calmly said, 'Well, she's there.'
