Try going 32 in the front and 38 in the rear, or maybe 40 in the rear. Could also be steering head bearings,,,,, too loose is no good and too tight is downright nasty, but just below too tight is just right. Also the procedure for mounting the rear wheel is important, loosen the 4 bolts hold the pumpkin on,,, just loose not off, install the rear wheel and snug the axle, then tighten the pumpkin and then torque the axle. I think you have what is called the Venture Whine,,,,, it's just that you have an aversion to that particular frequency and so it bothers you,,,,,, maybe,,,,but just to be sure have some one else listen to it, and see if it bothers them or even if they hear it.

A really nice ride last night,,, at least so I was told,,,, temps were real nice down by the lake, and the ice cream was delicious. The VentureRiders were well behaved, and even Evan made it out for the complete ride....Next week,,, maybe Cambridge.

Up grade to a Venture????? -
Expect to pay about $20 for the gasket. On mine 1st gear will have a rattle at times when everything is loose. It's not needed to be in gear, for when I plunk it in gear, it clears up, but just sitting there idling it rattles. Maybe that's your problem. Silicone gasket should work, but you have too make sure there is absolutely no oil in the seal area.

Looks like Dunnville had better get ready, the VentureRiders are on the prowl. We'll be at the Grand Island BBQ at about 8 pm.

Weren't you the one saying you lived on the wet coast? I'll say you guys arel all wet,,,, but then in Ontario we're all dry. Got 'flooded' in May and not much since then. In some ways it's kind of nice, but the crops are now starting to suffer. Took a long time for the farmers to get the crops planted and lost some areas due to being a way too wet, now we're starting to see the effects of not enough water to sustain them. 'Course it's only the farmers' crops, but it just happens to be the place where our food comes from. Manitoba and Saskatchewan have lost a lot of production due to water was well, wonder how this will all translate into the food supply this year.

Basically the question is; how fast and how straight do you want to stop,,, if it doesn't matter then load it up. Consider that the bike is not a semi-tractor, it's not built to tow anything,,although it can be done. A trailer that already weighs 450 lbs and then to add say another 200 lbs cargo, is for sure pushing the envelope. Pulling and running straight will most likely not be an issue, it's the stopping distance and the turning that will give you problems. Consider what happens when in a turn and the trailer wheel goes through a hole, can give you quite a rip, less at higher speeds but touchy in a parking lot. A feller may not have a problem for 4 years running and then one day find out that the distance given to stop was just a little too short, he don't want to have to be kicking himself and saying: I guess that I loaded that too heavy.
