  1. That's my luck as well,,,, I never do anything to the battery,,, but it keeps going, going and going and it's not even a Duracel.
  2. The story. This scoot belonged to 'joe' at least we'll call him that. He was killed in a car accident last fall. Looked after his bike fairly well, but liked to ride more than doctor it up with bling. His wife thought a relative wanted it, but finally he made up his mind and said no. So now I thought to give her some input,,, one thing I told her: the longer it sits the less it's worth. I rode it, and it rides fine, but the steering is a little loose. Tell you, when I got back on my 85,,, that was home,,,,no I don't think I switch.
  3. A bit of a surprise for me,,, I couldn't believe what rolled into and then out of my driveway,,, it took me a minute,,,ya
  4. 2003 with 58000 km on it. Took it out for a ride, seems to ride just fine,, not as nice as a 1st gen, but then it's not a first gen. Steering seemed a little loose, that all. Didn't see any serious marks or breaks. Needs a good cleaning.
  5. Got all my auto insurance with Economical Mutual, they even offered to insure my scoot. I took them up on it, seeing as they were the cheapest going,,,,,,,less than $500 for PL and PD
  6. And who said we were the smart ones here,,,, give those doggies some credit,,, WOW!
  7. Sorry,,, I need waves to surf in,,, I don't see any waves so cheap in not cheap enough.
  8. He doesn't want to admit it,,, but the answer would probably be NO.
  9. Man you aught to let her get cleaned up a bit before you start taking them pictures,,, look at her jeans,,, look like you got her working her fingers to the bones,,,,,,,, now a little question,,,,, does she polish as well? Good to see a man and wife team,,,, not everybody has that privilege,,,keep up the good relationship.
  10. You would think,,,,,,,,but if the mixture in the cylinder is too lean, then the plug won't fire it so the unburnt mixture ends up in the exhaust, and the exhaust from a working cylinder fires it. Sounds kind of neat, but does very little for pushing the piston back down. JMT
  11. Not my fault,,,,, honest, I had nothing to do with it.
  12. Glad to hear from you two,,, I must have missed this thread earlier,,,,, hope you continue to have a great time..... and if Ann gives you trouble,, it's not the CTC store that you go to.
  13. Thanks for going Gary,,,, I'll bet it's not something you'll soon forget.
  14. I think it's time to paint that trike PINK!
  15. OOOOOOPPPPPPPPPSSSSS again, have to meet with the family tomorrow night to lay plans for the long weekend work time,,,,, house getting ready beee. Only night it can be done,,, darn! oh well, family comes first.
  16. Well it's been 20 minutes,,,, your fault I suppose.
  17. I've thought in the past that my wife should be more like a dog,,,,,,, but then who would cook for me? do my laundry? clean the house? make the bed? cut the grass? clean the windows? get the car fixed? ,,,, nah,,,, best leave things as they are and not let her read this thread.
  18. If you need a wrench to do this job, go see Bongobob, he has an extra in my package.
  19. Couple of years ago Wizard765 and I had the same issue when we put on Vemons. Wayne took his off and put on Metlzers and has not had an issue since. I put on another rear Venom but still had the issue, so I went with Dunlop EIIs. Still had some of it so I took the whole front end apart and put it back together again, found one fork was slightly lower than the other (maybe 1\32") and that seemed to clear it up. This year I put the Avons back on and wouldn't you guess it,,,,, I had the same problem again, so I sent them back to Avon, and so far haven't heard from them yet. Put on Dunlop E IIIs and still the problem is there. So I thought that maybe it would be in the rear wheel hub where the pins go into the wheel. Super cleaned and lubed that all last week, but it made no difference. I don't know what to do next, so I'll be watching to see what your results will be.
  20. His wife is dead set against motorcylces and so he couldn't have one, so he was just very jealous of you.
  21. Don't work for me,, no matter what I do with it.
  22. Check the old head gaskets,,, if the oil came from that location it should show. Also check for cracks in the heads, have never heard of that happening, but if it's been overheated, you never know. It'd be a big pain to get it all together and then find out it ain't fixed as figured.
  23. Good to hear from you again,,, God bless you, and those helping you. Hope you'll find the road a little smoother in the future.
  24. Sure am glad that you decided to share this with us. Living for a short time (+- 70 yrs) is a fact of life, but during that time we tie together, fall in love, become attached to each other, depend on each other,,,,,,and then when one needs to leave,, it hurts. It also hurts us when some one we are attached to, hurts and has to suffer. Sometimes, there's not much we can do, but just be there for each other, and just hold hands. It's good that we can now hold your hand and help you in that small way. It also gives us the privilege of asking for a much higher Help to give you peace and patience while these issues plague you. We will pray for strength from above for you two, and saving grace for your sister-in-law, that she may find her suffering here to be short, and after that to be rid of all tears, sorrows and troubles.
  25. Somebody watching over you for a reason? Glad to see you typing words, and not somebody else. Pleasant dreams are my wish for you.
