  1. I was hoping to report that Al and Annie got on the plane for Portland safe and sound, but we ended up dropping them off on the driveway,, so to speak, and didn't actually see them take off (this made for a much shorter walk for Annie),,,,, but now that they are safely in Portland,,, I can tell you that they made safely onto the plane for Portland. Boy, I can almost hear the pipes already!!!!!! So now who's keeping an eye on those two???
  2. Just make sure you are the one taking the pictures, and out of the sight line of the camera,,, otherwise we may have to delete this thread.
  3. When I ride my 1st gen, I occasionally get tingling hands,, mostly just on the right. I find that relaxing my grip on the throttle helps big time,,, hence I have the throttle rocker. I could also lower my handle bars, (another reason to have a 1st gen), which I did,,,, and now the only time I tingle is when,,,,,,,, I can't remember that part anymore!!!1
  4. Plan on going to see Midicat in St Catherines next week,,, he says he'll have ice cream and coffee ready,,,,,
  5. Sure glad it wasn't any worse, and that you walked away,,,,, there has to be something for gratitude though,,,, maybe thank your special angel for being there.
  6. Good to have you along,,, see you next week.
  7. OOOOHHHHh it looks to me like she is going to like that just fine,,,, so fine that more safety chrome will be a necessity,,,, chrome so large it won't fit on the scooter and she'll be needing something a little larger..Huuuummmm?
  8. We're 'watching' the progress,,,,,, course nothing really happens until we see some pictures,,,,, I really don't know who started that rule, but we will have to uphold it!!!!!
  9. Ya and watch out for their shipping cost,,,,, that would have cost you another $39.00 if you live in Canada.
  10. Looks a lot like my situation about 6 years ago,,, now I can leave home without her. And oh,, the dress,,,as important on the drive way as it is on any road. A bug hitting at 50 kph hurts maybe worse than at 100,,,, and if it goes over,,,,, well 10 kph ain't slow enough to prevent damage.
  11. Been on a water bed now for about 30 years,,,, won't trade it for nothing, even after it sprung a leak and dumped all over the kitchen and everything below. Good thing we had a dirt\sand basement at the time. We've had a couple of leaks, but that was mostly self inflicted. They do say to change them out every 20 years or so.
  12. A rebuild kit is $23.08 from Parts Shark. http://www.partshark.com/fiche_section_detail.asp
  13. We're riding tonight,,, probably to Erin,,, good ice-cream stop there,,and I need need some parts and the guy is nice enough to go out to his shop to help me out,,, so I think that's what we'll do. July 06 2011
  14. Our thoughts and prayers go with you,,,, get well soon,,,,, God Bless.
  15. A request is on it's way,,,, God Bless. Carl
  16. True enough at night,,, when you are going to make a turn, you should have your low beams on anyways,,,, but a lot of us use them during the daytime, so cagers can see us better and maybe take a bit more notice of us,,, and that's what I was thinking of.
  17. All looks real interesting,,, only comment I got is the location of the driving lights, right above the signal lights,,,,, it's kind of renders the signal lights useless, others won't be able to see them with the driving light on..... JMHO Carl
  18. I haven't heard of it,,, but then what do I really hear anyways. It will probably be very good in America because it's imported from Australia,,,, about just as good as the stuff that is imported from America into Australia. But like I say,,, what do I know???? I'll let Annie give you the right answer, but she's might be a little slow right now,,,, too much wine with Becky I'll bet, so now you have something to read in the meantime.
  19. Ya in that case they might question the trailer if it had Ont plates on it. Looks to me though that I would leave the trailer there,,,, it ain't worth the hassle in my opinion.
  20. I was referring to the trailer you would tow behind the MC,,,, and I know someone who has towed such a trailer behind his MC for more than 4 years,,, in and out of the States and even changed the plates from American to Canadian and back again,,,, and he's still out of jail,,at least, the last I noticed.
  21. Let me know when you're coming,,,, and I'll do what I can to help out,,,,liquid, solid, cold or hot,,,,,,& we'll get it fixed.
  22. For the trailer, just go get an Ontario trailer plate for it,, call it homemade, take off any identifying marks, and drive it across the border,,,, might help if you have Ontario plates on the towing vehicle.
  23. Got here a day or two late I noticed. Congrats anyways to all involved,,, and I bet everybody is. Happy times for all of you, and may God bless you all.
  24. Sooner or later it may happen,,, we tend to be an erring people and so make mistakes,,, hence the chains. So my theory: Hook the chains as sort as possible,,, so that the trailer can come around at a 90 degree angle. This is not something you judge by looking at it but actually performing. You will be surprised how short they can really be. If you can get then short enough and depending on the 'coming off situation', your trailer may not hit the ground or your tire.
  25. Notice that you have a real lawn machine sitting there,,, when you get fed up with let me know,,,, it'll be a long time before I'm fed up with mine. And,,,,, have fun putting those wheels back on,,,, not really, but they do come off easier than they go back on,,,, just a little time and a little patience.
