Best spend $12 and become a member,,,, then it will almost bleed itself.

Depends on how fuzzie you want to be. If you want it to be show condition, you will need to repair and then a total repaint, but will the end result be a true color match? If it were me, I would remove the rail, clean out the crack from the inside only, ratchet strap around the trunk to bring everything as close together as possible and the fill in the grove with Plastex or something similar. I would also build up on either side of the crack so to keep it from going again. Hopefully I would get that crack to almost disappear, and the rest I would paint with a very small brush. While having things apart I would also look for more cracks before they get too big. My 85 has some of these new design modifications, but it's very serviceable, so I'm not to concerned, and nobody has ever said the my scoot is not everything it's cracked up to be.

Some of you knew our oldest daughter, Dorothea, 41, one husband and 5 kids, was diagnosed with kidney cancer a short while ago. I forgot to ask for prayer at that time, but today she went through a successful operation to have one kidney removed and our prayers have been answered. So far all is well and she seems to be well, our requests have been answered once again. Sure good to know we are in the Fathers hands!!

Marca's dad
Marcarl replied to Marcarl's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
Just want to thank all of you for your support. As i posted earlier, dad passed on Saturday eve. We had the funeral on Thursday and laid him to 'rest'. I'm sure he was already resting on Saturday. We had a wonderful time,, yes there were tears and some crying, and times of sorrow. But overall, we blessed our Creator for giving us life, this life and eternity, some really good to look forward to. We met folks we hadn't seen in years, cousins we forgot that existed, neighbors that are still around, and some folks we never knew. Lots of laughter and sharing of stories. But most of all, sharing how much we mean to each other and how much our Father is looking after us all. Attached is a photo of a wood workshop that dad made for a local fair. He loved doing that type of thing. It's about 4' across. -
Ya you'd best see the doc's everyday or so for a while,, you don't want infection set in there,,, then you would have some real fun. Best check for bone chips as well. I whacked my elbow about 30 years ago, and still have to deal with the chip thing, it just doesn't want to stay put and hold onto something.

Seems if you put the wrong bullets in, you'd be Ok,,,, just make sure they don't find out that you ride.

I'll consider that I'm getting old when I get grey hair,,,, until then, my kids are finally getting mature, my grand kids are finally getting a job,, this retirement isn't paying that well,,,, government pension doesn't cover a new scoot purchase, and my oldest kid is only 42 this year. I'm not loosing any sleep over all this yet,,, I get to nap in the morning and the afternoon, and again after supper if necessary,,, coffee is ready when I get up and projects keep piling up,,, so,,,, life is good. Now what was this thread about???

His and hers,,,,, I ride and she needs the trunk on wheels.

The first thing you might want to check is, does it still do it when he has a passenger. If it clears up the problem, you have an issue that has not been decided YET on this board. If the problem still exists with the passenger, then the aforementioned issues could be addressed. I have an 85,,, ran real well, put on a set of Vemons and it ran better, so good that when they wore out I put on another set,,,, that's when the trouble started,,,,,, changed the rear tire, same thing,,,, went to EII and didn't fix it, now have EIII and still have the problem,,,,, so I go with a passenger, then it's ok. Wizard765 had the same problem at the same time from the same dealer, and so switched to Metzlers, and hasn't had the problem reoccur.

Keep in mind that if you find that it is out at 3000 rpm and you adjust it, it will now be out at idle. At idle is where it is the most important. This theory works on percentages. A half turn on the screw at idle, makes quite a difference, seeing as the opening of the butterfly can be hardly seen, but when the butterflies are half ways open, that same difference (half turn of a screw) will have minimal impact on the flow of things (much smaller percentage) I hope this makes sense.

Make it easy on yourself,,, go out and buy a 4 liter of good quality diesel oil,,, works for the diesels, so should be just fine in our scooters. Mine runs on it and it's got 140,000k on it,,,, the only problem it has it the thingy on top of the seat. -
I just don't like the ad,,,, something isn't right.

Just to let you all know that Marca's dad passed on to glory very peacefully yesterday at 9pm. He now no longer has any pain, or sorrow, and he is able to walk again for a change. He was 84 and looking forward to the trip. Yes there were tears,,,, but along with that,,,,, lots of JOY. Looking forward to today, we're getting together with the kids and a lot of the grandkids, just to remember and to celebrate, and to plan the next few days. Carl

Been there, done that, but thanks anyways. So seeing as you are from before the 80's are you beyond repair ?

Thanks Guys,,, I thought it to be junk,,,, after all this,,,, it is junk,,,,, well maybe kijiji,,,, some people think these saws are the greatest things made since the Venture, and I would not be want to be held responsible for throwing out somebody else's treasure.

Make sure you push them off with a screwdriver, don't try to pull them, they'll just get tighter. As Eck said, use a hair dryer to warm them, and then push on the end of the hose to remove with a flat screw driver.
