Removing rear wheel?
Marcarl replied to camos's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Muffler clamps are a 13mm on my 85, they might be a little tight and corroded, so it might take a slight tap of a small hammer to help things along. Also I've noticed that normally they point straight down, they angle in a bit, so keep that in mind. -
You could have wished the beer thing,, with the cops and all,,, then you could have kicked the crapple out him for good ,,, but now?? you'll go old and gray to your grave, all sunken in and bent over from the load you have to bear,,, oh that there were better days ahead.

Flywheel bolt question
Marcarl replied to Dragonslayer's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I think my kit has one, but I'm not home until tomorrow,, will look then, but now I know what you are looking for,,,, a m12x1.25 tap,,, if your measurements were correct. -
The best I could guess from what I heard was a throw out bearing. So there,, that makes 2 of us, do you believe it now?

Flywheel bolt question
Marcarl replied to Dragonslayer's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
OK, in my mind the flywheel and the drive shaft have very little in common, and I'm trying to envision how they are related in regards to what you are talking about. Somehow I think I'm going to need a more complete description or more detail or both,, maybe a picture. Off hand I think you are meaning pumpkin and drive shaft,, but I could be wrong,,, been that before once,, long time ago, but I still remember. -
Do you need some helpful words to use,,, some convincing language?

Isn't that kind of 'normal' for you ladies,,,, seems very cheap at first but then when there is a bit of a contract,,,, you take all there is and then some. So what's the problem,,,, or am I getting into something where angels fear to tread.

Guess that doesn't effect me then, I'm on EST.

class air system need help
Marcarl replied to cfrasure's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
It would take just as long to solder the joints as to add the valves, and for me, even if it took a lot longer to solder, that's the way I would go. It's just one of the reasons I'm not interested in a 2nd gen,,,, besides the fact that they a soooo much slower. But that's only my opinion. By the way, the clicking you hear are the solenoids, the pump makes a motor type sound. -
Looks used, but not abused.

Rear Brake problems
Marcarl replied to OrlinEngh's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Your return spring maybe out of adjustment or getting weak so that the pedal doesn't return all the way. Although you might need new pads, this should have nothing to do with the release of the brakes. Your brakes will probably need to be serviced if they haven't been. Crystals tend to build up in the system as well as dirt, so it is a good idea to pull the calipers and the master cylinder off in order to clean them and check for wear and warn seals. I've done a couple, and all I had to do was to clean them, but once apart you need to check for problems. There is a very small, meaning very small hole in the master cylinder that will get blocked with a bit of dirt that will present exactly the problem you are discribing, hence the suggestion to clean things out. -
I'll tell ya, it's the keyboard,,,, I've been so busy lately, this new job is going to do me in,,,I'm sure of it,, well maybe,, or maybe knot.
