Seems we all have a Yama-Davidson, I found oil also, but can't find where its coming from. (Just a gritty base on the kick stand)

How did you go about getting that off the bike? do you have to remove the front lower, or can you just pull the plug in off, from the top? Next question, when I have that in Hand, with an OMS meter, How do I check to make sure its working? I'm picking up the new battery Saturday morning. In South Florida I ride in VERY DEEP water ( more like flash flooding) -
I got hit the same way on the goldwing, but the shoulder I went off of, had a drain ditch on it. the bike stopped upright, with the saddle bags, hung up on the sides of the ditch

I don't know where I stand right now. the bike is down, with electrical issues. until I can figure out why the battery's keep dying. tore the entire bike down over the week and inspected every wire and connection/fuses. nothing bare, found 2 fuses that looked burned, I replaced them. ( right side cover) fuse box a 10 & a 15 fuse. waiting on a new battery right now.

Here I go again.... I just installed a new battery for the sale of the bike. I had the battery in the bike for 6 days, and I go to start it, Click, click, click. I found out my NEW Battery, wasn't a new battery. I heard the guys in service talking, it was a service battery, the age of the battery was "L Zero" December 2010. I came back in with that one, and ordered a New up to date battery. (I didn't know how to read the battery date until now) -
I think, this is the last of its kind, I think the Stratoliner is going to become the new Venture
-
I got the low down...... The New 2013 models will come with optional cassette or 8 track tape deck. Geez, I cant wait to go out and buy a new bike....

"I have no idea if anyone, even the manufacturer has done any wind tunnel tests on the Bushtec trailers, but I am 100% confident it will slip through the air better than some of the boxy trailers that sit much higher. Having towed both types myself, and having a few friends that have done so with both types, we all agree, that the Bushec or similar looking trailers behave so much better behind our bikes that there is no argument which we want to tow under any conditions. Not scientific, but real world results." I find that, having straight factory pipes on the bike, you feel the buffering from the exhaust pipes, getting turn-down pipes will eliminate this. But having the trailer on during a wind storm keeps you on the road, defiantly holds the back end down, you don't get blow around as much. ( I lose about 4 miles a gallon when pulling two up, with the loaded trailer at 65-70) But on secondary road, 55-60 I get 155 to 162

Another stalling question of a different sort
Brake Pad replied to KevinR's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I just want to stick this in there. and even throw I was told, its not the gas, I think it is. I used regular gas for the 1st 12,000 miles, the pump went ( cut out twice ) finally died. I had it replaced, I now only use mid grade gas. we have 55,000+ on it now. -
