  3. Check the exhaust header pipe welds for cracks. I think the 05 RSV had an issue with welds cracking. Earl

  19. My damper has been on 4 for many years. If I remember correctly there was just a small change from one setting to the next, but if you went from 1 to 4 you would be aware of the change for sure. Maybe some one will post on this that has experimented with this and can remember better than me LOL. Earl

  21. Make sure the rear shock damper control is set on #4 Make sure fork oil level is correct. I would change fork oil; you may want to try a 20W oil. Check for loose steering head bearing and loose swingarm Air pressure in shock, forks and tires Earl

  24. You probably have a small nick on the fork tube. You can use a pair of ladies panty hose to find nicks; a nick will pick the hose. If there are nicks or rust on the upper fork tube, remove any nicks with the finest sandpaper you can purchase; usually, between 600 and 1200 grit. You can place a plastic grocery bag or saran wrap over the tube and install the fork seal and wiper. This prevents any tearing of your new seals. Earl
