Thanks David, so here is the problem. I just went to the classifieds and looked at a couple of the pins. I do not know StJudes at all from here but I tried to put a $5.00 bid on two of them that said they had no bids. I got a screen saying my bid had to be higher than the existing bid. As there is no existing bids I believed my $5 would be highest. I thinks maybe a system issue.

Is it an online auction? If so would you be kind enough to post a link ( maybe you did earlier) so some of us can take a peek or a second look please.

My very first thought was vacuum as well so yes spray some starter or WD40 works too and see but I would like to back up some...... you adjusted the valves some time ago and many were tight..... did this issue start directly there after? Is it possible the valve adjustment was done in an incorrect order or something that may have created this monster. I have never done a valve adjustment on a Venture but I have screwed up more than a few valve adjustments on old VWs in the past. Just thinking out loud K

He made more than just Fords sing but yes that was the largest part of his life. What ever that man touched sang and sang loud. Definitely a huge influence in what we all drove.

The Harley was in what apeared like the box off a U-Haul moving truck and it had been insulated with styrofoam. This man had been using it for storage of his belongings including the bike. Steve Drain Harley in Victoria picked up on the idea of getting the bike back to its owner. Steve, contacted harley and the bike is being shipped to Japan as is and it will be restored in Japan by Harley Davidson of Japan before being returned to the owner. What is a good restoration for a motorcycle that has spent 12 months in the ocean..... I dont think it matters to the man that owns it.... he lost everything he owned as well as 3 family members that day..... it is a bit of brightness in his life. Ok and now I feel a need to comment on the "joking". There is a time and a place for everything.... If this was a thead about the devistation in Joplan would you feel so inclinde to be making a joke out of the thread... I think not. I totaly agree that there is always jokes going around about every style of bike out there but the timing is the key to any joke, that can change it from a joke to being hurtful. As is the case with most on line forums, members should always think before typing.

Ah yes ... we will now be safer out there (just a little sarcasm)

Agree with you and Rick, all the sport bikers I know do have full face lids but at excessive speed and rock walls nothing helps not even a bit. We had a fellow stunting for a photo shoot who was asked by the photographer to slow down so he could take the pictures. In front of his wife, business partner and the photographer he hit a rock face and was killed. No gear protects from........ As much as I do not like the beanie helmets I would wager most of the riders killed wearing them would not have survived the same crash with a full face lid. SUV broad side is usually not survivable.- 36 replies

I think one of the things that needs to be defined is the letters ICBC. In BC we are insured by the government.... Insurance Corp of BC. when we buy our plate for a vehicle we buy it from the government and it includes at least a minimal insurance policy. The government is protecting itself and tax payers as we as tax payers not only cover you and your bike we also provide the health care plan that will care for you for the rest of your life be that in a wheel chair or in a vegitive state in a hospital that we the tax payer also paid to build and operate. $2.22 does barely cover it these days.- 36 replies

I agree .... it depends .... you would need a CSI crew and an hour.... 40 minutes without comercials to tell for sure but yes it depends on temprature and enviroment. One thing I did learn last week was on average your gasoline in the tank will lose about 2 of your octane.... so if you put 87 octane into the tank and let it sit for a month it is only 85 octane... another month and it is 83 and so on. The moral is... if you are going to park it for a while put high test into it so when you go start up again you got go go juice left. yup and high test is selling for about 1.479 a liter around here.

I did two full aprentiships, to become a plumber I did my 4 years, to become an A Class gas fitter was closer to 6 years.... I got a job with my night school class as a power engineer... Keep up hope for the solid stuff but stay strong with the yard service... and good luck to you.

I started a new job last Tuesday.... this has been the first time in my life I have been with out work so a month off was a very long time to me. I got the schedual for the future months and it would seem I will not be Krusi'n the Kootenays this year. I am sure you are all aware of the dificulties of finding a good job these days....so I took the best one that came my way but I am not permitted to take holidays for 6 months. I have a room booked at the Grand Hotel so if anyone wants it can you contact me before I call them to give up my reservation so I can give them your name to fill the spot... you will have to also contact and give CC details and stuff. Just throwing it out there
