what about 2nd Gen... can they be added on also? Just thinking out loud. :mo money:

Nope, the paper, call them heppa call them what ever... they are not designed to be cleaned. If you require a system as pure as this will produce then even if there was a non recommended cleaning method for them then you would not be able to assure that the air quality would remain the same as design. If you do not require this type of cleaning of the air then I would recommend the aforementioned "zapper" type or I have in my home an electro-static reusable cleanable filter that way back then cost me around $100. Also note there is nothing better for the air quality in your home than having a proper "Power Vac" cleaning of the air ducts in your home. Not the carpet cleaning guys that say they can clean the duct work with their vacuum hose. Just my after over 20 years in the heating industry.

I would like to take a second to day and say thank you to all the Veterans out there from where ever you may be from and how and where ever you may have served. We and our families are safe and free because of you and those that gave their lives for us. It is pouting rain in my city, I am going to go get dressed warm and head to our local Cenotaph and watch the military parade into our town. I will remember my father and his brothers that all served time in Europe during WWII. I will remember my mother that went to work at the ship yard to help build the ships my father served on for 25 years. I will think of how lucky I have been to have had so many give so much for me to be free. Thank you This from my friend Calvin's website: http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.barkingmadspeedshop.com%2F2011%2F11%2Fnovember-11-remembrance-day.html%3Fspref%3Dfb&h=NAQG10n1WAQEzwSKd8hzWGCLWdXFKnTOonhiDFnofD4yCHQ

I do agree with bongobobny for all I do know about construction. If you need the space it is a ton of work to take it down but it can open up a lot of space. you have so many options for new heating and hot water that it just comes down to.... how much work do you want to do to (re)gain the space.

Emailing money is great too !!!!!!! nothing like opening up an email from someone to find...click here for money! My wife has several of her families pay her that way and she loves it... no messy cash or going to the bank with cheques. -

I work on oil fired burners and equipment and often we have a ton of trouble finding where an oil leak is. One once of fuel oil can stink out a building the size of the Empire State if added to the ventilation system.... no I did not tell YOU GUYS that did I.....oops. Anyway finding a weeping fitting can take hours so what we use is a powder called odor gone. It is used for cleaning up oil that has been spilled. Anyone watch NASCAR? it is something close to the product they now use to clean up spills on the track. What a person at home can use that is close is "baby powder". Dry everything as well as you possibly can. You can use a cloth with powder in it and flip it around the fittings and calipers. The "wet spot" will show up pretty quick. Odor Gone should be available anyplace that sells heating parts and equipment.

2 maybe 3...... cost? -
I do not know anything about a chimney and structure, what I do know is do not just go with a direct vent water tank... go to a direct vent tankless heater and save energy on keeping stored water hot. It is the best way to go.

a video now on youtube from the start of the ride. The gal in the white and pink jacket at the start of the vid is Kristy a mother of 2 whos' husband is serving over seas, she started the idea of the ride with a comment to a group on facebook and then another gal thought of the sign "mother of four" and it all started.

one of the wusses.... oppps... guys...at work uses hippo hands. They look as silly as hell but he says they work great. He only rides about 7 or 8 miles to work on his Vstar... I would think a quality pair of gloves would serve him well, but if you are doing highway or distance they look like the way to go.

You are correct Brian, a rumble strip will not stop a passed out drunk or a person in medical distress. The Malahat has no room for error of any kind. They do try and control speeds on it but due to its' design there is very few places to place a radar car and the few places they do set up they will do a media blitz to tell everyone they will be patrolling it and still they will write dozens of tickets every day. We have had a propane tanker truck and a gasoline tanker truck crashed on this narrow highway... the gasoline truck dumped hundreds of gallons of gasoline into a salmon spawning stream....the propane truck driver was drunk and the gas truck driver has been charged with impaired but not yet had his day in court.

Some local riders (approximately 400 of them) came out to protest the safety of one of our main highways and one of the most beautiful riding roads around our area. A road that guys like Rocket and thousands of others have to drive every day to get to and from work. My friend Jana was killed on his motorcycle in July this year on the access highway to this road by a drunk driver that crossed the center line at noon on a holiday weekend and now another local rider lost his life last weekend when a car crossed the center and hit him head on at 50 mph each. The car driver it seems had a medical issue causing the accident but a barrier would have saved the rider at least. It does make some of us and our loved ones scared every time we start up our bikes. I would have been riding with Jana in July if I had not gone to a family reunion for my wife's family. http://www.timescolonist.com/news/Motorcyclists+demand+improved+safety+Malahat/5665455/story.html Be safe out there, I now a lot of you have parked for the winter but here riding is a 12 month a year hobby. CUPE (Canadian union of public employees) proposed their members buy everything possible as local as possible. Be that apples or milk or fish. If we go to a local fish market we keep jobs local, we keep the store owner and their employees as well as the fisher and it's crew and the mechanic that tunes his engine. Same with the dairy farmer and the truck driver that delivers his milk to the producer. CUPE calls it the 10% shift...... http://www.cupe.bc.ca/news/commentary/1620

I saw this the other night and thought it was a fantastic tribute to veterans. The first thing I noticed was the RSV and never did notice the names on that part.

I am hoping my son Alex is finding Estevan Sask as enjoyable as the picture you posted B. I know he has found out that his hoodie is not as warm as he thought it was. He has been well spoiled out here in the west all his life. Enjoying your climatic updates. Kevin

For our 30th we bought we went to our favorite cycle shop and picked out matching silver full face flip front helmets. Romantic? not sure but we care enough for each other that we know it is important to have them.
