  1. It's been a whle since I last had the bike on the trailer but didn't have any issuses with anything hitting the rotors or other parts of the bike then. The last long trip I used it on was when I towed it to Ga and back 2 years ago using it. Larry BTW: to copy and paste a link right click the mouse over whatever link you want to copy. A pop up will appear, scroll down and left click copy. Then it's a simple matter of right clicking on the post you're writing, getting a pop up and hitting paste. Takes less time to do it then tell how too.
  2. I've got this one mounted in my trailer and it works fine. But as Goose says I would never depend on just that alone to support the bike. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=96349 There's this one also at a bit more money. and it does apear one could use it as a stand alone . But again I wouldn't trust it entirely even thou the outrigger legs look long enough, plus it has eye bolts for adding tie down straps http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=97841 Larry
  3. I've got a good guess but will keep my idea under my hat till we get the factual news. Larry
  4. Nice trailer build guys. I appreciate the work and effort you all have done in these builds. I always love seeing what people have done to their rides and in this case the trailers. Larry
  5. I would start with checking all the electrical connections for the cruise section. Perhaps one of the quick connectors isn't fully inserted thus getting intermitment electrical flow for the unit. You'll probably have to pull the front fairing off and maybe even both lower cowlings. Left cowling has the vacumn controler mounted by the horn and the right side cowling has the servor unit & fuses I believe. Good luck Larry
  6. I plan on being there again. Sure hope we have other trikers there as well. Larry
  7. Good to see we're gaining another triker here. Like Jeff says post up your experinces and pics after you get her home. Enjoy the ride, Larry
  8. Error on page for the link Larry
  9. Speaking of high winds I've noticed that since I've had my trike wind of any degree now seems nonexisitant. Before stong cross winds or passing semis on the highways you'd get pushed around. Now the bike seems as if it's on rails and so stable. Another plus for being on 3. Larry
  10. I would 2nd this, as well as saying it's always a pleasure meeting folks from here at these social events. Larry
  11. Sorry to hear of another member having an accident but glad everyone is here to ride another day. Hope the injuries heal quickly for James & Angie. Larry
  12. No snow here at the moment but cold and windy. We are supposed to get rain/snow with low temps all next week so there goes another week of no riding. At this rate summer will arrive before we even see warm spring weather. Larry
  13. The trikes do roll supprisingly easy. Because you're not also balancing them. Of course you do have to pay attention to where and how you park. Nothing really any different than 2 wheelers there. On level ground I can back mine up in the saddle, even with the Mrs. on board. There's only been a couple of times I needed help getting out of a parking spot. Anyhow one lears very quickly where or how to oark in any given situation. Didn't know you had a matching tailer too Jeff. Cool beans. Road tripping here you go. Larry
  14. Glad ya got it right now Brad. Was going to give you a call but seeing as you have it figured out you're good to go now. Later, Larry
  15. Silcone sprayed on the rubber helps as well. Larry
  16. Are you excited enough yet Jeff? You're like a kid on Christmas eve. And you're getting it just in time for some good riding too. Enjoy the ride and have a safe one as well. Larry
  17. Nicely done there. If you decided to make them for other members you'll have plenty of orders I'd bet. Larry
  18. Looking pretty good so far Jeff. Yea the waiting can be troublesome but that'll all be forgotten once you hit the road. Take your time getting used to the handling etc. It's not bad or anything just a bit different then being on two wheels. You too George. Later, Larry
  19. Mike I'll take it either outright or make a swap with you. I have a new in the wrapper Avon in the 130/80HB-16. I got it last year but never used it cause of triking the bike. I was going to take it to Don's maintence day and offer it up who ever may of wanted it then. If interested e-mail or pm me and we'll work something out. Larry

I've seen them before at bike shows. Well built units no question there. In fact when the Sears jack I currently use goes bad I'll probably get one of these. Larry
  21. As Squidley has said I've mounted several of them in various bikes in the past. The AudioVox system I feel is the best unit to use for a mc. Small enough to put on just about any bike. They work great too, same as in your car or truck. I'll be installing one for a friend in a Honda Valkyrie Interstate sometime this spring. Larry
  22. Fred responded earlier this evening and said he's using a 18" sidecar tire on front. Didn't say which one but don't matter as the 2nd gen uses a 16" tire. Larry
  23. Sent Fred an pm but I think his bike is a 1st gen so tires sizes are different. I think. Someone want to clarifiy that? Larry
  24. Well I hope to make Vogal again this year and should have the dropping problem solved pretty good. Let's hope that the gremlins had enough fun with us in the past and leave everyone alone this year. Larry
  25. Yea I've been looking too and so far have come up with a big "O". At this point I think I'll go with a rear tire mounted in reverse when I need to replace the front tire. Larry
