  1. Had the one from Signal dynmanics as well. You won't find a better tail light. I too used it with the red lens. It's a HUGE improvment over the stock bulb for sure. Larry
  2. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully it was an oversite on the other guys part and maybe seeing this post will jog him into making things square with you. Larry
  3. Yep Brad it's still on for Saturday. Don't have the addy now but it's easy to find. Take I-94 to Telegraph, north on Telegraph to Michigan Ave, then head east on Mich. Ave. Leon's is about 1/4 mile up the road on north side of street. If you remember where the Bob Evans restraunt is it's just across the street from it. See you there, Larry
  4. Ok folks Maineac had me do a head count at here at chat tonight. Drum roll please -- New record for number of folks on at one time 26. The previous number was 18. Thruout the evening there were people coming and going from about 8:45pm to 12:30am with 44 people stopping by for a few minutes to the whole evening. Some were even 1st timers in chat too. Larry
  5. Where's the door? Larry:stirthepot:
  6. After much consideration I'll be having breakfast at Leon's Family Restaurant in Dearborn. It's on Michigan Ave. (north side) just east of Telegraph rd. at 9 am. We'll go straight to the show from there. For those who can make it there good, others we'll see you at the show. One reason I switched from Big Boy was that it was super busy there the last couple of times we did this. So ended up getting into the show later than excepted. Larry
  7. For those who consider doing one yourself using Tri-Wings kit I probably put in just under $9,000 for my conversion. That included body work & paint done at a shop (I'm not a good painter), ez steer conversion to the fork trees, wheels & tires, etc. I did all the work myself thou and also did some things a bit different that what instructions called for as to fitment of the body. So depending on ones wrenching abilities, painting , etc you could spend more or less then what I did. Larry Note: As far as I know at this point only 3 companies offer a trike conversion for the Ventures. Tri-Wing is the only company selling to individuale customers. Hannigan and Chanpion are strickly a dealer installed option.
  8. Glad ya got the EZsteer. I didn't have a chance to test drive anything but knew it was for the best to have one. So ordered it when I built my trike. That sticker sure can put ya into shock thou. Larry
  9. Looking good there Gunny. Hope to meet up with sometime down the road. I put over 11k on mine last summer and it really didn't take much time to get used to it. Sure there'll be a few quriks from what you're used to from the two wheel variety. Just take your time getting used it it and you'll be fine. Did you get the EZSteer done on the fork trees? Dragon Rider who's trike kit do you have on your bike. Mine's a Tri-Wing. JerryM has a Tri-Wing as well set up on his RSTD. Larry
  10. I'll be getting my registration in sometime after the 1st of the month. Larry
  11. I also use the Kuryakyn type of switch box mounted the the clutch resvoir. The 1st link you provided is a nice looking switch assembly thou and I might have gotten one of them if they had been available when I added my switch box. Either way you go it'll look great on the bike. Oh yea the bars are all 1" for the Ventures and RSTD's. Larry
  12. I didn't have the chance to go to the International Rally this year so missed meeting Al. None the less it always saddens me to lose another member. Peace for him and his family as I know he'll be missed. Larry
  13. 50* here now and snow is going away FAST. Then by tomorrow night we're back to the deep freezer again. Larry
  14. Old is when you go from one room to another and forgot why. Larry
  15. Bandit or Gizmo. I think either name fits well. Or if you prefer a more lady like name go with Brandy. Larry
  16. Check my pics in my profile Larry
  17. Ok folks it's mc show time once again here in Michigan. This year it's on Jan 2nd - 4th at Rock Financial Showplace 46100 Grand River Avenue Novi, MI 48374 As in the past I plan on going on Saturday with breakfast at the Big Boy prior to the opening. Who else may be there? I'll start a list here and we can figure out what works best for everyone. Larry Here's a link to the shows website --- http://www.motorcycleshows.com/ Check #11 post as I won't be at Big Boy's after all.
  18. I say go for it. You'll end up with unique one of a kind ride that's sure to turn heads. At the least they'll be trying to figure out the make and model of bike ya got. Larry
  19. While I'm not of the stick & string persuasion, I am a long time archer and do appreciate finely crafted wood bows and those who can shoot them proficently. Nice job there Tom. Larry
  20. Talking with Squidley today and he's planning a End of Year party like we've had in the past just after the first of the year. It's possible that one of our Canadian friends attending that could relay the trailer from the Port Huron area. If there was a need to store the trailer till then I could do that. Not sure just where Darrell lives so it might be easier transporting the trailer around the east side of Lake Erie. Larry
  21. Haven't seen or heard of anyone relocating that switch but have seen a post or two here about converting the kill switch for other uses. Since you don't like killing the motor when it's not wanted you could either disable it and put a kill switch somewhere else or use it for say spot lights or whatever takes your fancy. Larry
  22. That's a pretty neat idea you have there Jeremy. On my bike I used a reservoir switch box and simply toggle the lights on or off when I want. Normally they're off when starting or sitting idling but on at all times, day or night. Thanks for sharing it as others may want this option. Larry
  23. It's a heavy heart to read this of you having to close up financial ends as well. As previously noted there's always the possibility of getting a used 2nd gen by next year at a decent price. Sorry 1st genners we all know where Brad's heart is with there Ventures. Best of luck to you Brad in getting what you need done - both with the sale and getting those pesky finances in order. Larry
  24. [quote=kj4v Also if you take your foor and push on that crash bar it will bend right back with little effort, and don't ask how I know that either. That is why I added a crash support bar to my Venture as well as stiffening it for footrests. There's a post I put on here about what I did. Larry
  25. While I tend to agree with this statement I also feel it the individuales decision whether to see such stuff. No I don't suggest posting the pics as we normally do but a link to them would then allow each of us to decide for ourselves whether to go to the linked site or not. Larry
