Clutch Fluid - replaced
Kregerdoodle replied to N3FOL's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
That could be normal, but I do not recall that happening to me......... -
The folks next door moved and left a bizzialian cats to fend for them selves, any way they started coming over to my place and sraying everything in sight, so i put out a live trap to relocate them, anyway, I kept catching a coon.... by the 4th or 5th time I caught him, he was so used to being caught that I had to wake him up to get him out of the trap. But do be carefull, they can get aggresive over food and those teeth are like razors.. Great pics though!! Thanks for sharing

Clutch Fluid - replaced
Kregerdoodle replied to N3FOL's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
There is just one thing that was not mentioned anywhere (I've never seen it), if one wants to replace the OEM bleed valve with the SpeedBleeder type. One must remove the left rear fins that are held by 3 allen head bolts. If you don't do this, there is no way you'll be able to remove the OEM bleeder. *** hhmmmmm... i didn`t have to remove the fins from mine, just removed the little plastic cover and replaced the bleeder.. -
Congrats!!!

Kregerdoodle replied to Tartan Terror's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
:confused24: I hate electrical problems..... what a PITA to figure out... I wish ya luck, and let us know what you find out... -
I couldn`t tell if it was the side to the Y that was bad or the end that goes to the control box of the bike... I may go ahead and pick a few up from Wally World just to have in case my riggin fails me... Thanks for the input..

I installed a MX radio about a year ago, and installed the Y spliter from Radio shack as instructed by the fine folks of this site, about a month ago, I lost my right side speakers only while on the XM, they worked fine with the reg. Radio, I opened up the fairing and was applying the contact greese to all connections, when I pulled apart the Y connector, I heard my speakers come on for a second..so I pluged it back in, nothing but the left side....hhhmmm...so I pulled it apart real slow...they worked...ok, so I found a rubber washer that was about 1/8in thick and installed it over the male end and plugged it back in...Shazam!!! they all worked again... so I taped it up real good and put on a few small tywraps to secure it and put the beast back together..all is still working to date. Has anyone else had to do this?? or am I the lucky one??

New to the forum and bike. Lot's of questions.
Kregerdoodle replied to similost's topic in General Tech Talk
Welcome to the greatest Family on the web!! There are alot of great mods that can be added, done to these bikes.... lots of Safety Chrome that can be added.. I know you will have fun!! as far as the tires go, there are alot of posts here about tires.. Most will say to stay away from the Metz. on these bikes, many have had them through chunks of rubber off, maybe because of the weight of these bikes.. they are not recomended.. most here run Avon Venom, Dunlop EIII`s, or michelins.. any ways read on and get ready for an overload of info.. again, welcome to the Family, these folks on here are some of the greatest people you will ever meet. I look forward to meeting you down the road. Take care and many miles of Smiles!! Kreg -
I didn`t get to ride either of my bikes before I paid for them, my Shadow, I pushed off the stealers floor, never got to ride it untill I got it home.. most stealers will not let you test ride them, my RSV I bought used, the guy would not let me ride it, and I had allready taken out full coverage on it before I bought it...I have a guy coming over to look at my Shadow to buy it, he will not get to ride it untill he pays for it, what if he crashes it??? what if he takes off on it and I have to run him down with the green beast?? sorry, its just not gonna happen..

Started my day off real good, got all leathered out, gonna ride into Town to give Gunboat a hand and the Green Beast turned over 2 times and that was it..so off with the seat, put the tester on the battery and it showed 12.2V but that was not enough to crank her, put it the charger and it would never reach a full charge, so it was off on a hunt to buy a new one, all I could find was one that you have to add the acid and charge your self, this says that there are plates in it that absorb 100% of the acid so that it will be spill proof, any one heard of that? any way, gonna wait till tomorrow to put it back in the beast and see how it does..

But only if you can them started...
