on the subject of "waving". i remember, a few years back, before the motorcycle(harley , gold wing), explosion, every biker in my county ,knew every other biker in my county. at that time, there were in the neighborhood of 500 or so, mostly harley, riders. today, people run to their banking institution, borrow the money, run out and buy "a big ole motorcycle", to stroke their own ego. they know absolutely NOTHING about biker etiquette, and don't seem to be interested in learning. like bill said,"it's their hang up", and i consider it their loss, as well. just jt

Jerry, you don't know how much i appreciate the offer, or how much i would LOVE to have the whole wheel barrow load. now, having said that, i am compelled by nature to tell you , ALABATES flint is selling for a PREMIUM, today. guys who are fortunate enough to locate a supply, are "sawing it up into slabs", about 1/2 inch thick and as long as they can make it.these "slabs", are selling for about $1.50-$1.75, per INCH!!!!!!! don't short change yourself, bud. check around on the net, and see if you can find a buyer. OH, by the way. i wasn't posting here, in askance of material. i was actually checking to see if anyone knew WHERE to find the stuff, without having to pay an arm and a leg, for it. thank you my friend. just jt

gene, there are tons of river cobbles around here, but you cannot get a decent flake from 50 pounds of them. they just won't work. all the natives , went to other parts of the country, to get raw materials. i am speaking with a friend , now , about GLASS! he is in the stained glass window business. stained glass will work, but it ain't the real deal. just jt

i'm still alive and kick'n, just not very high, and i ain't stirin' up no dust! jeannie was SUPPOSED to check in at M>D.Anderson, out patient clinic, last week. she is just not strong enough to make the 400 mile round trip. she called them, and they rescheduled her for mid Sept. i personally can't see any way she can make this trip, stay in a motel for "5 to 10 days", for treatment, short of transporting her in an ambulance. WHAT I REALLY CAN'T UNDERSTAND , is , if they can treat her there, then WHY can't the treatment be done here? no one seems to have a definitive answer on that one! my thoughts are these Dr.s down here, don't want to take the responsibility, if something goes wrong, again, and we lose her. in Houston, those Dr.s lose lots of patients on a daily basis, and are sort of "hardened " to it. thanking each and every one of you guys , for keeping us in your orayers! kjust jt

to answer one of your questions , james, yes. the carbs are VERY easy to drain. each one has a drain screw in the outboard side. you might think about "upgrading" your battery cables to the larger size that "squid", used to make. someone else is making and selling them, here, now. can't remember the members name, but the larger gauge wires, sure improve starter performance. just jt -
i think one of the problems you guys have, is "trophy deer". LOTS of people from some really overpopulated deer country, think the only place to hunt, is "south texas brush country". we have plenty of deer, but the trophies are dwindling fast, because of all the hunting pressure. couple that with the fact, that diseases run rampant , around here, (i strongly believe that it is related to all the refinery pollution), many long time hunters, will not eat wild meat from certain counties in our area. just jt
