The pasted message below was my last email that I sent to chrome pros in Corpus Christie Texas. As you can see the customer service sucks big time. While the wheels came out nice, they also left in the dampeners in the rear wheel, causing me a whole ton of extra labor to remove them. Unfortunately for me I didnt order them through Ebay, but directly on the phone, which may have given me more protection. But, if there is no response from them by Friday then I will file credit card fraud charges against them with my Citi card. So, some of you PM'ed me about this company possibly considering using them for plating. Right now I would not recommend them to anyone. Ill see what happens after Friday. Sure do wish that we had a member in the Corpus Christie area to go there but apparently not. "Ben, this is the third email that I have sent you. You still havent answered my previous emails. When we spoke on the phone you promised to inspect the return core wheels this past Monday and issue the 485.00 credit as you promised to my card. That has not happened. I spoke to another rep on Tuesday who assured me that the wheels would be inspected and a credit issued. When I asked for his name he hung up. Still no credit to my account nor any response from your company. You had no problems responding to my inquiries for the last few months but now that payment was made all that I am getting is the runaround it seems. I need a commitment from Chrome Pros as to when the credit will be issued. Jeff Koppelman"

How would you go about getting some allowances for an insurance claim with no receipts. However I do have very recent pictures of the accessories on the Venture. These are accessories that I bought from Craigs list or was transfered from my other Venture. For examples Lighted Chrome Rotor Covers Chrome Caliper Covers Markland Heel/Toe Shifter & Floorboards Markland Highway Floorboards Chrome Air Vents Rear Cylinder Chrome Highly Polished Side Covers Thanks for you help.

I just bought a chrome brake cover with "Venture" Etched on it and now need the matching cover that say's "Royal Star" . If anyone has one laying around in a box gathering dust I'd be happy to buy it from you. Plan B is to buy just a plain chrome cover.

I purchased a set of Passenger Arm Rest for my MKII and the hardware that mounts to the VR has some bad rusting and peeling parts. I know that it is like cancer and so it will spread. But I'm not into rechomeing for that is expensive. So I could use some suggestions as to how to best treat the peeling and rusting chrome. I don't know much about the mounting of it yet, but I'm pretty sure that it is on the inside where it can't be seen. I've included a couple of pictures. Thanks for your advise.

I talked to someone while at MD that has cracks in their Markland hitch platform. I do have just a chrome platform left over sitting in my basement. We did not exchange info at the time.

Just curious. Several weeks ago there was a set of chrome RSV wheels on Ebay for around 750 bucks from ChromePros wheel exchange. Did anyone here buy them?

Here are the engine cases painted black. I am leaving the rest of the engine original. The cases will show more that the engine anyway so no need it spending more time painting. I am not quite finished with the chrome covers, need to fill in the painted areas and polish some more. Note one says 1300, the cover from my 83 had the chrome peeling so this one was much better. Does anyone know of a touch up paint or spray that matches the gold color in the 1 inch square emblem that is on many accessories items like on the chrome calipar covers or on the rear trunk rack. It will also have 1200 or 1300 on it also.

Does anyone have on their MKII the Chrome Guards for the Large Side Panels. If you do would you be willing to give me some dimensions. 1) Take one off your VR and trace the guard on a piece of paper. 2) Measure the diameter of the tube 3) Indicate on the drawing where the 4 mounting pieces go and their lengths. See Attachment. It might be a bit small.

YO! I have asked a couple of knowledgeable people how to remove the chrome from ABS Digny and Freebird and we still haven't got a way to do it so I thought I would open it up to the whole group for ideas. Here is the info: the chrome is metal not plastic and it is plated to the headlight bezel. It had a long bubble in the chrome and I punctured it and started to peal it. It would not come loose except for the little bit under the bubble. so now I have a ABS bezel with partially pealed chrome patches. ANY body got any ideas? I wanted to paint it black along with a spare front fairing I have. Already removed the eyebrows and may paint those too. A LITTLE HELP PLEASE.

Hello All, I’m looking for instructions for removing and inspecting the exhaust on an 05 RSTD. After installing a set of BUB slip-ons, my popping is more accentuated and I want to inspect the pipes for leaks and cracks. I have searched our site for a breakdown document but no luck. Does the chrome come off separately from the pipes or as a unit? Are there gaskets to replace once the pipes are removed? I am assuming the pipes mount to a flange that insets into the head? Thanks in advance. -
I've attached a couple of pictures of 2 chrome bubbles on my chrome front fender extension. Was wondering if I should just leave it or to take a razor blade and slice it then put some finger nail polish on it. Or maybe some other suggestion. What causes chrome bubbles and do they continue to grow?

Back in 01 when I bought my 02 RSMV you could buy little chrome spots (as I remember) and insert them into allen hex socket bolts to dress it up. Over the years some have disappeared and I went to look for them online and nothing comes up. Anyone have a link for these. I need them in the 5mm allen hex size and a couple in the 8mm size.

Well I got the clutch bled properly, checked the air pressure in the tires and went for a ride. The class is acting up...I have to press on the connection from behind to see the display..but other than that it seems to be working OK. Went for a 1/2 hr ride and changed the oil and filter (I know ....that should have been done BEFORE it was stored) Does anyone have a set of chrome speaker trim? I think they were from Ventureline.....just an "outline" of the speaker grill in chrome. I'd be interested in buying a pair if anyone has some. Also looking for the chrome tabs that go on the top-back corners of the faring...they are about 3" long, with a 90 degree bend and cover the corner.

Noticed these two "Safety Chrome" accessories that I have never seen before. The outer chrome rings on the wheels/rims and the chrome cover where the original horn should be. You guys know if this is custom made or if this is available somewhere ? Want to be safe and need all the chrome I can get

Trying to install the Chrome Rad Grill on my 91 VR. How does the Chrome Side Rad cover with the reflector go on? Normally the OEM rad grill goes on 1st then the side rad with reflector cover next.

Anybody ever blacked out by paint,decals or powder coating the chrome trim on the fairing on a black bike or other colour.

I was looking at my 84 after I made the side cover block offs & something didn't look right. It finally hit me the plates where the rear foot pegs bolt on need some dressing up. The black with the ribs was to plain. I decide chrome would accent it nicely but as you all know, I could not find anything for this bike. When I was at Walmart, I noticed this for $6.95: It's basically a plastic mirror which is attached with double face tape. It cuts easily with a scissor. I took a piece of butcher paper & traced the opening I wants to chrome. Made the template & I cut the mirror. I used a regular scissor for the straight runs & a cuticle scissor for the tight bends. Here's the finished look: Though I would share!

The old chrome tubular solo rack, pn STR-4NK51-20-00, has been discontinued and there are none for sale on ebay...I have a saved search there though. Couldn't find any on Phat or CustomCruiser Wondering if anyone knows of a part similar for sale? I see some flat steel, eagles and such, but really want the chrome tube fender rack. Looking to replace the aluminum boards. For sure the passenger ones that look like crap with all the other chrome...then do the drivers to match. Any suggestions? Don't want to have to change the mounting hardware. Needs to be durable too. -
The only aluminum on my 2006 RSTD is the brake/clutch levers and resevoirs. Can you buy chrome replacements for these? Where?
