  1. Yes I am liking it.I would likly leave a small narrow ring of chrome aroung the headlight as i would add the driving lights eventually.
  2. Silvr t can you do a photochop with a side or 45 degree look with the cyclops nose blacked out and chrome trim on windshield and front fender blacked out. Leave the forks chrome.
  3. I have used that product before with mixed results. But i am sure it would do the trick. The other one I was considering, since my 2012 bike will be black anyways, is self sticking faux carbon fibre .If I do not like I can always remove.
  4. Maineac, you got any pics of the fairing chrome removed or blacked out.
  5. Anybody ever blacked out by paint, decals or powder coating the chrome trim on the fairing on a black bike or other colour.
  6. Yea I thought they did not have a cat, which is surprising in this world of tough emission standards.I did read some of the carb threads and understand all the issues surrounding the carbs ,since i posted this thread.
  7. Does a 2012 Venture have a Caytilitic converter?Secondly are the Venture motors jetted lean for emmisions?Would richning up the carbs help in anyway.
  8. Raising the seating position is an option but with my height I do not want a sliding door for a windshield,if you know what I mean.I think another option might be replacing the floor boards with iso wings and using a slight tilt to lower my heels some what ,which mite help a lot vrs a straight peg?I will have to take a closer look at the RSV at my dealer next week.It appears the heel toe shifter is connected to the floorboard from pics I have looked at?
  9. I know this is an old thread but did anybody put pegs on to replace the floorboards?
  10. Anybody ever looked into lowering floorboards an inch or so for long legged riders.I have been looking at a 2012 RSV and they seem to sit high enough to allow such a mod without creating too much of a drag issue in corners, but maybe i am wrong.I am 6 foot 3 and maybe raising seat is an option also. I can always do highway pegs anyways but the floorboards just feel too high for my long legs.I normally ride a Raider and I am use to forward controls and pegs.Maybe pegs would be a good solution.Anybody have pics of a floorbaord to peg conversion?
