Butt Butler Seat Available - Straight Up Swap - WI
starcruiser replied to RedRider's topic in Watering Hole
This sounds like a story that needs to be told! Lookin' forward to this in the waterin' hole! ( nothing else to do 'til spring, so we might as well get the HOLE story!) -
You aren't keeping track are you? I pray you make it buddy!

If I get past that urge to be at work doing something, I think I'll be ok! Got to change that mindset first. Thinking about riding down to the Natchez Trace this spring to get things started!

I have finally gone and done it. Effective today I am retired. I am hoping this is not one of those decisions I'll regret later. After more that 50 years as either a student or teacher, I am now out of school! Graduation was a long time coming! Now I need to start planning some rides(besides M/D)!

I'm from NW Ohio. One of our members from Heavens Thunder Chapter 872 will be there. His name is Tom. He has a maroon Harley and will be in a 30' motorhome. Older guy with white whiskers and glasses. Gee kinda sounds like I'm describing Santa Clause doesn't it! Have a great time at colors. Mark

Since my accident last summer, I've been storing take-off parts. Now I need the room in the garage. I will eventually try to get them listed in the classifieds as time permits. If you are interested in anything, PM me and we'll see what we can do. Here is some of what I have: rear chrome tip for front fender, highway light bar-just the bar, headlight bezel, rt front brake assembly, left saddle bag, quick detach brackets from windshield, windshield, chrome windshield medallions with gaskets, rt passenger floorboard, and a few more! Even though this isn't the classifieds, time is limited and I thought this would be the fastest way to get word out so that parts can get to new bikes before spring. Thanks! Mark

As the others have said, thank God you can walk away even though recovery will take time! Best wishes to you! Mark

He absolutely didn't run that blade through his hand IMHO. How can I tell? I air nailed my thumb once and I really danced around... and it was a SMALL nail!!! I might not be the brightest crayon in the box but I know NOW to keep my thumb outta the way when using my air nailer. Cute trick though , do you think some kid will try to copy that?

Steve, if you are interested, Freebird has a maintenance day June 6th at his place in Oberlin, Ohio. It's right off the Ohio pike for you and about 6 hrs away from you. It's a great chance to get expert help and advice on the scoot. Best wishes! Mark

It's a sad club to be in, but I am extremely glad to hear that you two are going to be ok. As others said, keep up with the Ins company on everything. God bless and take time to heal! Maybe that's why we have winter in Ohio--no riding for about 4 months! mark
-
By chance, were you fishing for frozen fish? :snow2: Mark
-
Very glad to hear that there are no serious injuries, and......welcome to the club! Mark

Is that you standing on the right side of the clock? Always thought you'd be bigger! :rotfl:Anyways, nice clock. We bought one for our 2nd anniversary. That was 29 years ago and it's still going strong(the clock too)! Congrats! Mark

Glad to hear everyone will mend. Yes, parts can be replaced but the important things in life aren't "things"! Take care and both of you heal completely. Maybe the stitches just before Halloween will save you a couple bucks on a costume! Mark

My rear shock began squeaking after about 6k miles. At the 12k mile service I had them check it. It was the top rubber seal that was torn. There was no oil leak at all. It was replaced under warranty. Just my experience. Good luck! Mark

Venture or Tour Deluxe?
starcruiser replied to Bobcatpat's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
and love it. Most of my riding is local within a few hours of home, so I like the cruiser style. Some guys have put trunks on their TD's so maybe they will chime in with details on that. Happy hunting for that perfect bike! Mark -
Eddie, Glad to hear the bike is back. I crashed August 14, and am still waiting for the insurance company to issue a check so that the dealer can get the parts ordered. Like you the estimate is around $7500! I just got a copy of the estimate Friday and I'm already questioning some of the items. I hope mine turns out as good as yours! Best Wishes! Mark

Drivers Back Rest for Stock seat
starcruiser replied to Deacon's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
and I love it. It is easily adjustable, folds down for easy access, installed easily, and was about $180. Mark -
Always did have a tough time with those letter things. Now, is it I before C but only after E... or... never mind thats what spellcheck is for! Have a great weekend! Mark

Since my 06 RSTD is in the shop to be repaired after the wreck, I told the Service Mgr that I'd like him to replace the I basket with the H basket and quiet the bike down, since it seems to be a technical problem and should be fixed under warranty. He instantly became a little HOSTILE and told me HE would decide what was a warranty issue. Isn't there a bulletin or something out there that acknowledges this problem? It seems I saw it once but.... What do I need to do to get it changed while its in the shop for a few weeks? Thanks guys! Mark
-
My bike is still in the shop...its been a week and I'm still waiting for an ESTIMATE! Good luck and be safe. Mark

My condolences to you and your family. May God grant you peace and comfort at this time. Mark

should have had mine last week. Maybe then the gravel gremlins wouldn't have gotten me! Still, I'll get one on the new and improved version of my scoot! Thanks Mark
