Hey! Hey! Hey! I resemble that accusation! Never say Never! It gets under your skin and you will want another. I personally like seeing a Tramp Stamp on women. But I'm a weird sort of guy. Looking forward to seeing everyone too.

I've got 5 tats and can't remember any pain associated with them. The last one I got, I spent 4 hours in the chair and he went over the tat 5 times after the outline with different shades of color. Don't worry Bobbie, once you earn the outline you can ask for the Gel. We won't let you live it down, but you can ask for it. ONCE you have earned it.

I didn't know a Chevy could go that many miles. Or was it KM? That I might be willing to believe. LOL:rotfl:

I have actually seen this bike at Myrtle Beach two years ago. He had a heck of a time at low speeds, he almost dropped it several times trying to get into a vendor area.

You have every right to be proud of your son. I really liked the folksy-bluesy sound of Livin' was easy. Kind of a James Taylor feel to it. It's nice to hear a song these days that has a piano in it. I felt it added something special to the song. I was really impressed with the guitar playing too. The other two songs are good too. The second one I really liked the sound and I could be wrong on the third one, but I thought I heard a little Lennon. I honestly think these kids have a big future ahead of them. I'll say it again, I love hearing the Piano. It's refreshing to hear new songs that are actually good, and that you can understand. Keep us updated on their progress.

So sorry for your loss. It will take time to get over losing her. The good thing is you will never forget her. She will always be with you in your heart. We have lost four over the years and each one held a special place in our hearts. They sometimes visit me in my dreams and I always wake up with a tear in my eye and a smile on my face and I know it will be a good day for me. She will be waiting for you at the Gates of Heaven.

How did you get a socket on there without taking the triple tree apart? Plus are you sure about 1 1/6" socket?

I got dizzy just watching that first guy. Very impressive.

I use a 1 1/16 inch wrench. What ever that equates to in Metric. I think it's 27mm but I may be wrong. I do know the above wrench fits without a problem though.

I ride to work pretty much every day, 50 miles each way. Last winter I can remember a few days when it was 14 degrees. I have electric gloves and socks with an adjustable rheostat. The palms of my hands do start to get cold about half way, so this year I plan on adding grip warmers. I usually only wear chaps when it gets below 50 otherwise it's just jeans and a jacket. Chaps are good to about 35 then I switch to my snowmobile suit and that along with the gloves and socks keeps me toasty. This year will be the first time I have the Yamaha lowers and the fork deflectors on. So far they have made a BIG difference in the amount of cold that gets to my body. Not to mention keeping that heat around the engine and my feet.

It's not a bad looking Harley. Since he is in the Army I can forgive him his indiscretions. It sure was a nice day for a ride. Was is windy? It sure was around here.

She Done Good! To be honest I think she is sleeping with it under her pillow. Either that or she hocked it for some loose change.:rotfl: I haven't seen it since she brought it home.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I have been through that 3 times and it doesn't get any easier. It's amazing how much these 4 legged creatures become a part of our lives. Time heals all wounds, but yes I too get misty-eyed when thinking of my buddies. They all visit me in my dreams from time to time and I always wake up with a tear in my eye and a smile on my face when that happens. I still miss my Chow Chow's snoring, and she has been gone for 16 years. It will get better over time.

Gas leaking out of vent tube
SaltyDawg replied to waterbug's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Your fuel Idle mixture might be too rich. I would get whiffs of gas and when muffinman was riding behind me he said he could smell gas. So we did a color tune and carb sync. No more gas smell. Funny you posted this, I had a friend call me out of the blue yesterday with the same exact problem. I suggested the seafoam treatment also. -
I just use heated gloves and socks. The fairing keeps the cold air off my body. I use a Pharaoh Shampa to keep my head and neck warm. Very comfortable under a helmet and keeps the air off my neck. http://www.sjfdistributor.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=SD&Product_Code=Blclv006&Category_Code=Sch The only thing I might add this season is heated grips. The gloves worked great for the back of my fingers and hands, but that darn bar gets some kinda cold after awhile. I have ridden several times in temps in the teens and low 20's without discomfort by using those chemical hand warmers inside the palm of the glove. I would then put them into a small tupperware container for reuse. I was able to get 4 days riding to work and back and that comes to 2 hours a day.

I bought from here also and it was free 2nd day shipping. Great place with no problems at all. Stay away from any site that has a number or the word camera in it. They will try and sell you more expensive goodies to go with the Zumo and then if you don't buy that stuff they all of a sudden have it on back order for 3 months.

Why didn't you just ride it in the rain like you usually do? I thought that was how you wash your bikes. Now you have to go and spend money.

front shimmy
SaltyDawg replied to sportssonny1968's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I highly doubt taking the weight off the rear would make a difference in the tires. I think it's the steering head bearings. Tighten them up. -
LOL yeah I keep a spare pair in the bike for just such occasions.
