Guess what showed up at my door on Friday? My new XXL w/vent Clearview! I can't wait to get it put on. Would have yesterday, but I was doing yard work and I'm gonna ride today after church. I hope I, and especially my wife, loves it as much as everyone else!

I had 9,000 miles on mine when I switched out the Dunlop 404's. (Never had the brickstones) I could have probably gone another 1,500, but I was going on a long trip and wanted the fresh rubber for the trip. I can't tell you how much better the bike rode with the Elite IIIs on it. Like two different bikes! I have 6,000 on these and they look like new.

I'd have a hard time deciding. I had had two GWs, prior to the Ventures, but I'd look at the Ultra Classic. My concern with them is the HEAT!

I have the Bakers...I like the air in the summer. No, they do not divert the rain off the knees but I always wear leathers. In the cold weather they really will knock the wind off you, thanks to the uppers. I use the clamps for pegs as well. They don't get in my way shifting. FWIW -
Utopia is a great rest. One of my first upgrades and easy to install.

Oldman, It certainly sparked my interest. I don't think I'm ready today to switch, but I will watch with interest. I plan on asking about this in a year to two, see how many others have made the switch and whether they're convinced. I'm from MO, you have to show me, but I'll listen to differing opinions. I had an old, not at the time, GS750, that was a good bike. Hardly ever did anything but put gas in it. That one look very similar. Enjoy!

Passenger Armrests For 2006 Venture

We have Diamond R's as well. Since I ride 1-up much of the time, I leave mounting brackets on and just take the arm rests off for 1-up riding. Wife loves them, and 2 minutes I can have them off! -
I have a friend that has one. I think for the most part he likes it, but it is very heary on the bars. This is hearsay, though.

As we discuss the issues on our beloved scoots, I often find myself wondering how many miles were on the affected bike at the time something happened to it. So, I thought a thread to tell us roughly how many miles were on our bikes might be in order. I'll start: 06 Black Cherry Venture 12,000 miles No issues to this point, just upgrades.

That makes me feel better. Like I said, it is the trailer, so it doesn't have to be perfect or exact match. I saw a sprayer the other day $25, that looked better than I needed really, but if I could get it done with paint, clear coat and sprayer for less than $150, I'd be willing to try it. Thanks for the input. Tommy
