  1. I thought of using a single vacuum guage and one of those selectable ported aquarium manifolds. But I ended up buying one of the mercury ones.

    1st gen armrests

There's a guy over on the other site building them.
  3. Nolan for me. I bought a cheap flip, It lasted a year before the flip lock broke.
  4. If a Non Smoker dies, is the cause of death listed as good health?????
  5. I'm at a loss as why there would be less stiction on that helmet.
  6. We have 2 Jack Russel terrorists, and we used to take them for short rides. We used the type of "coller" that goes under the chest area, I used a standard leash, doubled up to shortwen it, and around my neck, put a pad on the tank for front paws. Mostly she wanted to put her front paws on my thigh, so whe coming to a stop, she'd "fall" about 2 inches. Our male just rode in Debbies arms with the same setup in case he jumped/fell etc. One thing you should get for your dog is a set of "doggles" goggles. Dogs benefit from UV protection same as us as well as wind protection. Amazingly they adapted to them well, probably cause they were getting to go with us.
  7. At a ride in,we had a bike low on oil,no funnel. Got a envelope, tore a corner off, presto funnel.
  8. Shortly after buying a 86 Gold Wing, I stumbled onto a black 83 that was immaculate. Anyway, I thinks I will sell the Wing, and go get the Venture. Sad part is, the Wing didn't sell right away, and when it did, my Venture also had a new owner:crying:. So I keep scouring the motorcycle trader papers for about 6 weeks, and a few frustrating experiences, and had a hit near Cleveland, so I took a fistfull of cash, just in case, along with my wife. After being disapointed 4 or 5 previous times, I figured we'd be driving back together. After finding the obscure address, we talked to the owner. He said it was his Dads, and they rode together, and his Dad died, and he had one too many motorcycles. When we went out to the garage and he opened the door, it was like, yes, a Royale, if this thing runs, its mine. Pristine condition 86 with 15,000 miles and tons of Ventureline accessories. And run it did. It had recently had a tuneup, valve adjustment, carb sync, etc, and the paperwork for said maintenance on hand, as well as scheduled maintenance by the local dealer. Seller said he'd take $2700, so it came to stay with us for 9 years, and close to 70,000 more trouble free miles and many fond memories. I'd still have it, but the legs were getting very weak, so I traded it off on a new FJR.
  9. We bought a Acer for cheap $ at Tiger direct in October and have been pleasanty surprised. Am using Trend Micro anti virus, as it gets updates every 2 hrs,so far so good. I'm sure Macs are top of the line(my granddaughter let me play on hers), but didn't want to spend the $$.
  10. "Also, the new Hot Grips, with 40 gram thinsulate gloves worked just fine at 50 deg. I tried them last week, same gloves at 33 deg. F. and I would say my hands were getting cold. However I'm not in habit of rideing in that cold temps, so won't worry about it." For the really cold days, just slide on a set Of Hippo Hands over the controls. I don't wear insulated gloves and rode 350 miles hovering around freezing.
  11. I quit about 30 minutes ago, but I don't think it's going to last.
  12. I like the ONSTAR navigation system over the Garmin and TOMTOM units I use in my other ride and motorcycle.

    RV ?

We have a 30 foot Thor toy hauler motorhome on a Ford 450 chassis, and love it. It's way too small to live in, but we've stayed in it for 3 weeks at a time. I like the idea of taking the bike without dragging a trailer. We're headed down to Georgia next week to escape the cold up here. Being retiresd is a big plus when RVing.
  14. I got on the BRP off of I77 last year, rode about 80 miles and a section was closed. Does anyone know if it is open all the way now????
  15. I have a Battery Minder Plus that charges at 1 and a half volts, floats, and conditions the battery after charging, by de-sulfating the lead plates. I also have the Battery Tender jr. The Minder does multiple batteries.
