  2. Sound like it's filled with air and needs a good bleeding. Do you own a brake bleeding tool? If not this maybe a good time to get one, it will make bleeding easier. If your doing it the old way by pumping the handle it can take forever to get all the air out.
  3. 12 BUCKS! thats outrageous! But worth evey penny. welcome aboard. Straight jackets are not included, you have to bring your own.:rotfl: Be afraid, be very afraid.
  4. I should poof read what I wright. I ment you probably didn't mess with them.
  5. I believe the factory set needle valves your refer to have a brass cover over them, so you probable did mess with them. You would have to pry the covers off with a pair of pliers. Others here know more about this then I.
  6. This has been discussed many times here. It is recommended to use a punch insteed of the drill.
  7. I use 1/4-20 Nylon wing nuts I picked up at lowes for around $.50. Just cross thread them on the metric stud. They will not vibrate off. At that price a keep an extra set in the trunk in case I lose one.
  8. The best part about winter is, um.....lets see, um...... .....never mind:bang head:
  9. Wish my garage was heated. Can't afford to heat it at this time, maybe someday. Next warm weekend i plan on cleaning the carbs and setting the floats.
  10. Thats right, it's under the seat. One nut under each side at the front of the seat. I don't remember what size nut.
  11. Don't you have something better you could be doing right now??? Do you need vacation instructions? go get a sunburn or something.
  12. Carefull you don't get a sunburn.
  13. Actually it was pretty nice here yesterday in the morning got some work done on the trike. Then it turned to dodo in the afternoon:snow2:
  14. Try removing the tank and pull apart all the plug conections under the tank. dry them out, use some dielectric grease in them. do the same with all other plugs on the bike. like the connections behind the side covers and the lower fairing.
  15. started working on the Trike today. weather was in the high 40's today so I figured what the heck. Wasn't to bad in the garage. I moved the trunk back, it was really easy Took the 6 hold down bolts out, move it to the rear bolt holes, retightened. Took about 15 minutes. I have the same set up for the trunk as the 2 wheel version RSV. Then I figured since the weather is still pretty good I might as well change out the muffler. This took the rest of the day. Went from a set of noisy Sampson fish tails to a very nice sounding set of 05 RK's. A lot quietier, but still has a nice low rumble and a good bark when you get on it. My neighbors must have thought I was nuts, cause by the time I finished the install the weather went to heck. Temp dropped into the 30's with snow flurries, but there I was, riding up an down the road making noise. Sure felt good, even if it was for only a couple of minutes.
  16. Yep, Big Toms getting lake effect.
  17. AAA covers both car and bike. plus you get discounts just about everywhere.
  18. OK, here's what you do...wait till the ship is out to sea, go out on deck take a good look around, take several deep breaths of that sea air and all will be well. repeat as needed. Now, HAVE A GOOD TIME:dancefool:
  19. Are you the original owner? Was it ever layed down? Just thinking a minor accident could cause problems like this.
  20. I don't believe he has one for the RSV.
  21. We have a winner. You will love the hannagen. Go with the easy steer and maybe the extra tank. Good luck.
  22. Sc*#w you!...I mean, have fun. Enjoy all that sun and warmth. Keep in touch. Make sure you rub it in.
  23. I read the original post and went to the garage to measure my bars but when I got there I forgot why I was there. seriously I don't think anyone here meant to blow you off. sometimes life just gets to crowded.
  24. If your traveling on a weekend, then maybe leaving your place at around 4am should put you in chi-town around 6:30am traffic should be light at that time on a saturday. When I was stationed in Great Lakes and had to travel through Chicago We would leave as early as possible. Worked out pretty well. Thats about the only time of the day and week we didn't hit traffic.
